One dog, one cat. / myLot

My friend asked me if I could watch her dog and cat while she went on vaction. Of course I said yes. She only lived three houses up. She said she would leave the dog door open for them to go in and out. I went every day for a week filled their water and food bowls and the water and food disappeared but yet I never not even once saw the dog or cat. I thought that was really strange. I even called them but no dog or cat came. But the food and water disappeared. When they came home they called and thanked me and the dog and cat were in perfect condition. She said thanks for giving them lots of attention. I never did tell her I never saw them.

That's very kind of you to take care of her pets. I am glad that her pets stayed well. Perhaps they wanted to stay at home and waited for their master and this is why they didn't go out when she had a vacation

I have seen them when I visited my friend. They even would hang out with me in the room. So I do not know why they hid from me.

I know cats can hide when strangers come, but dogs usually need to be walked or let out to use the restroom. So, it's odd you wouldn't have seen the dog.

He was a small dog as small as the cat. So he probably hid with the cat.

The yard is fenced and they come and go as they want. I just never saw them.
