A trifle not to be trifled with

The photo shows the magnificent trifle that my sister-in-law made for our Christmas dinner. It was delicious. The glass bowl showed off the various layers nicely but there was way, way too much for four of us.
The Swiss roll slices line the outside of the bowl and there are peaches inside that with different coloured jellies topped with thick custard, more jelly and slivered almonds.
We took what wasn’t eaten to my niece’s next day and enjoyed another serving or two. There was twelve of us for Boxing Day but there was still plenty for all of us.

It does look really delicious. Trifles aren't that popular here for some reason..our loss! Maybe I should try making one sometime.

You probably wouldn't like it if you don't like jello. We call it jelly and your jelly we call jam.
