How's the First Week of 2025?

Hi, everyone!
How is it going? The first week of 2025 went smoothly. On the first day, we went to a church to pray for gratitude as a family. We wanted to eat some Italian cuisine, but I was starving to death, so we decided to eat lunch near the church instead. The rest of the day was spent watching Home Alone 2. I had to work the next day, so we slept early.
I got a bit emotional on the last day of my stint as a substitute teacher last Friday, January 3. My students wrote letters of gratitude that touched my heart. For just a couple of weeks, we had built a connection.
Because it was Epiphany Sunday yesterday, we attended the evening mass where my daughter served as an acolyte.
I am welcoming the New Year with gladness and gratitude. Sending prayers and good vibes to each mylotter.

I think you have a warmth greeting from 2025, that's good to know.
Mine started a bit sweet, and tedious, and a lot of planning, and cleaning also. God bless.

Cleaning and decluttering. I should have started this before 2025. I donated some of my old winter clothes. I should start cleaning my daughter's closet. I want to do it with her.

Happy new year to you. My first week of 2025 has been varied and busy. I've been working, I've caught up with some of the family that I'd not seen since before Christmas.
We have a lot of family birthdays in January so I've been preparing for them. The image here is a cross-stitch that I made for my mum's 70th, which is about 2 weeks away. I also made a wooden keyring for my son's 25th, which is just over a week away. For the other birthdays, it's mostly just cards with a couple of them getting cash gifts.
Apart from the birthdays, I've had four people asking to make plans with me this month. It's nice to be popular but I don't think I'll be able to fit everything in before the month is over
Some other things have happened in the family but nothing particularly interesting.
That's been my year so far.

Well, it is just 5 days and so far it is ok. The first three days I was on leave and wanted to be away from work and busy life as I have a busy schedule for next 8 months from what I see. I had few trips but all short. Weather is getting warmer. Guess this time the summer could be long and hard. Having few challenges with expense increasing and incomes decreasing . Trying my ways to find ways to bring in more revenue. So , working on that direction. Great to hear how the New Year has treated you. We can only imagine how the letters of gratitude touched your heart. Enjoy the time!

I am sure your income will increase this year. This is going to be a year of abundance and good health for you and your loved ones.
I cried while leaving the school. Good thing the students had left so they didn't see me sobbing on the way to the parking lot. Sometimes, it is hard to practice detachment.

It's only been five days not quite a week into the new year. But, not to bad.
