I have written about my cousin in Calif. before, the one with the wrong name on the Christmas card that always comes late..regardless it is nice of her to remember family. Those fires they are having in the LA area have been a bit in her suburb, although not the main location where they were spreading. She and hubby both wrote they were safe, but she posted a update awhile ago saying that she thinks these wildfires will be the worst California has had. California it seems, is burning up. I hope Much2Say is OK!

@snowy22315 gosh I assumed the trees were what was making things burn faster. I guess I misunderstood from the little clip I saw.

Yes, sad and it seems these fires there get worse every year..also not having any trees probably will make them a target for mudslides.

I haven't heard of any deaths yet, but there may be some when the fire department can look for survivors.

I'm glad your cousin is okay. Let's hope the fire doesn't sweep back her way before it's done.

The pictures of the fires on the news are terrible, and the stories. I am glad your family there is safe. I have a friend who lives very close to LA, but she is on a cruise. She is relying on friends and neighbors to keep her posted. She does have all of her important papers in a small floor safe, but still...I don't know how close her house is to the fires.

Glad your cousin and her husband are safe! Thank you for the mention . . . we are ok! We are far enough from the fires, but we can see smoke all around past the mountains that surround our Valley. Smoke and ashes here too. Yep - it's really bad - very sad for those who are in those fire zones
