Looking back on 2024

The past 4 years had its ups and downs, unfortunately. However if I hadn't went through all of it I wouldn't be who I am now, I wouldn't have met all the people who I've had and have in my life. I made new friends and seen who was never a friend.
Last year I broke the cycle.
I got out of a toxic relationship and I walked away from a toxic job, I stayed in both way to long.
I now have a wonderful man and a job with a wonderful boss.
I'm healthy and strong. Last year I had everything from pneumonia to the puking virus. Caught everything from the last place of employment
I've put that drill and saw back in my hand. Rebuilding what was torn down.
I've been working on the decluttering, in all aspects. ( mind and home.)
I've gotten closer to God.
Life will always have the hard times but I've set boundaries once again and I won't ever let anyone or anything break those.
I've set my goals, short and long term.
The old saying just came to me " sometimes you just have to be a botch." Not exactly spelled right due to my lot policy
Back to normal for me.
Have you walked through heck and came back better?

I think we all have. It’s those experiences that make us stronger, and hopefully better, individuals.
Here’s to the new you in 2025!!

I believe what we experienced for the past years, happened for a reason. One thing is for sure - it made us stronger!

Oh, yeah... I've been through two divorces and don't let anyone that close anymore. Life is too short to spend it with toxic people.
I'm glad you're doing better.

I’m glad you are stronger for what you went through and are moving forward with those lessons. I am so glad you are out of that terrible relationship. I truly hope this one will be better I know they all seem to start out that way. I’m always leery.

You sound like a 'new & improved' version of the J20T that I used to know.
A little more seasoned, and a little wiser as a result.
I only hope that the guy that you are seeing understands that you are no doormat and that you deserve and command respect all of the time.
I have been through some really toxic times in employment, but once I realize that I lost my 'happy place' I am quick to resign and move on.

I have. The last 22 months I lived in my 23 ft travel trailer after leaving a very hard toxic situation and taking a loss on my mini house. It was months of healing, grieving and working out my own autonomy and not be what others expected. Finally, December 5th, I walked back into a house and stored my trailer. I'm stronger though still have a long ways to go in other areas. I'm reinventing myself since the old me is just that, old me. Some days I feel lost and other days I feel I know. I do know the botch is back.
