We went to the big Tesco again today instead of Wednesday because of the men coming to flush out our radiators on Wednesday. My Mum was walking very slowly again, and we were a bit late getting in the shop. I got rid of the soft recycle as usual, and we went up on the lift. It was already 3:15pm when we got up to the main shop. We went and found a bench, and then Mum gave me her shopping list, club card and £200. I found Mum a Tesco magazine for her to read while I did the shopping. So she stayed on the bench and I did the shopping.
I went to look at the magazines first, and I got a stamping magazine and a vegan food magazine. Then I went to look for a packet of sugar free polo mints for Mum, but they didn't have any, so I got some sugar free tik taks instead. I also treated myself to an aero. Then I got 2 bottles of water, reaching for them with my walking stick. I then got 2 lots of sushi, one vegan one and one salmon one, and I got a salmon poke, whatever that is, for my dinner tonight.
I then went to look for some pads for my Mum, but they didn't have any again, so I went to the fruit and veg section. I got the usual stuff from there, then I got my yoghurts, Mum's milk and puddings for Sunday for my Mum and Syd. I got some grated cheese for my Mum, and then I went and got some tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread for my Mum.
Then I went to the vegan and ready meals isle and I got a vegan mushroom pizza for me for my breakfast, some meat free bites and a vegan sweet potato curry for me for Thursday. I got my Mum some beef ready meals for Sunday's dinner and some bangers and mash for tonight.
I got a jar of seafood sauce, branston pickle (small pieces), sandwich spread and a bottle of HP fruity sauce. I then went and got myself some udon noodles and then I got 2 Pot Noodles for Syd, an original curry flavour and a beef and tomato flavour.
After that I went and got some apple turnovers again for my Mum and Syd for their supper tonight, and some angel slices. Then I went and got some pringles for Syd and some corn/rice cakes for me.
Syd wanted some syrup puddings and custards to go with them, so I got those next. Then I went to the frozen section. I got my Mum some frozen beans and I got some frozen white onion for me. Round in the next isle I got my Mum some potato stars, some battered cod and some of the posher battered fish that only has 2 in a pack. Then I got myself some frozen prawns. After that I got some sausage rolls for my Mum.
Lastly I went and got some washing up liquid, and then I went to pay. It came to just over £124. It was only 4:05pm when I'd finished paying, and I couldn't believe how fast I'd been! I went back and sat on the bench with my Mum, and gave her her shopping list, club card and change.
I actually had a book to swap today, so I went and swapped that. Then I went back and sat on the bench again. I had a look at the Tesco magazine that Mum had been reading.
At about 4:20pm we went to go down on the lift. My trolley wheel went over something and when I bent down to see what it was, I saw it was one of the blue tokens, so I went and inserted it in one of the slots on the voting machine. Then we went down on the lift. When we got down on the lift it was already 4:30pm and Syd was in the car park, but there was a queue for the drop off point, so Syd was in the middle waiting. He opened the boot and we quickly put the stuff in, and then we went home.
When we got home I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner. Later I took the laundry upstairs to hang them on the hangers. Now I'm watching the telly again.
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a good evening and a great night.
Nos da!

I hope you were successful with your chores and errands.
Yes, it was very successful, and I think I did it in record time, too!

@sharonelton That's awesome!! Errands and chores were good the other day. Today has been a bit slow going. I can't take this cold and the SADD is hard to deal with.

Sounds like a good grocery list. My mom used to get so frustrated with my gram. She insisted on stopping and looking at everything. Of course my Grama didn't get out much and enjoyed looking around.

Thank you very much. Yes, it was.
That's a bit like my Mum. When she was walking round with me she'd take ages to choose what she wanted, whereas me I see what I want, get it and move on to the next thing. And she walks sooooooo ssslllooowww these days, too!

Oh, really? Do you have a snack every time I write a Tesco post?
Thank you very much. The only thing I couldn't get were Mum's pads again.
I did, thank you very much.
I translated some more of the Wynne Evans book.

@sharonelton I roasted a chicken for dinner. And I haven’t stopped grinning since Friday when I fixed out central heating.
