We don't open our TV anymore. Sometimes my father will be angry if we open the TV saying it's wasting electricity
We are all contented in our smartphone and internet. We can watch anything we want.
Someone also said they don't watch TV anymore too.
Happy Tuesday

@jobelbojel TV stations compete now with viewers from online shows

We open our TV to access the internet and watch from there say like Youtube videos or other platforms, nothing like watching from the big screen BUT not to watch traditional channel or for a traditional function of a TV - no more! Those days are over at least for us.

I wonder what will happen to TV stations if many people want shows in streaming devices than regular channels

@averygirl72 Pretty much like what's happening now. They gotta amp their game in order to stay relevant with the times.

@pitsipeahie I'm wasting my time every day watching Facebook Reels and YouTube shorts. I like short videos and some time in Netflix

Yes; I do. But I watch news channels only. No serials; no movies; nothing else.

I cannot hold my phone in my hand all the time, I have things to do...our TV is on a lot. We listen to news, music, whatever programs we like...I am used to doing that. Most people in the US that have a television (pretty much everyone) don't have cable TV, they have streaming and subscribe to a service or two...I just have one streaming service, and Roku, and it's plenty. And much cheaper than cable prices.

I still want to watch TV but my family members will tell me to turn it off. Cable tv seems to be gone now here where only rich people can afford. When I'm all alone I open the TV to keep me company

Well, unless there is a content which is not available in OTT or internet , I am not looking into the TV these days. It has been the case for over an year now. We do not have the time to watch the whole movie unless it is the weekend. It is easier on the OTT and we can bookmark the viewing and return back to same whenever we want. Most Live sports events can also be seen on OTT platforms . Plus there are apps which provide live streaming of certain channels. So , unless there are lot of people to watch together , TV is not getting switched on at my place. Plus , it is better economically. Take care!

OTT means over the top? I'm quite satisfied with online contents and they are better than TV shows. Maybe I can watch Ms. Universe pageant on TV
