It is Coming Down-Again

Another day and more precipitation.
Today's is in the form of snow. Big fat fluffy flakes coming down at a pretty fast rate I will say.
Yesterday it was rain, which seemed so odd for January.
The snow looks pretty but is piling up even after less than half an hour. My husband warned me that they are calling for 5-10 cm by morning.
The streets are looking slippery out already. What's happening in your neck of the woods?

@Juliaacv Oh for sure we are done with snow for now. It's cold now, but will be colder on Tuesday and Weds. I will get rid of some trash today..and won't go out again until Thursday when it starts to warm up.

@snowy22315 It is cold here today too, but was very nice, bright and sunny.
I love winter days such as this, although a few degrees warmer would be fine too.

We didn't get any more snow, but there is still some from the last snowfall earlier in the week. Friday we got above freezing for a few hours before we went back to freezing again and have of course stayed there, it melted some of the snow into pools of water that froze in slippery spots. No snow today, but very cold, below zero temps again tonight. The furnace runs constantly, ugh.

We got a few inches before the really cold air moved in.
Now that it is here we won't likely see any snow.
Our furnace comes on, but not any more often than it did before the really cold air arrived.
It actually comes on more frequently during the summer when the a/c is on trying to keep it cooler than it does in the winter trying to keep it warmer.

When my central air is on, the furnace cannot kick on. That would be very strange. It’s one or the other, not both, here.
We had a fast two inches of snow earlier. Now it’s just added to what we have. But it’s really cold! It would not be so bad if the wind wasn’t so blustery.

It is very cold and we have had snow off and on today but are not expecting much. First it was small dry flakes, later it was the fluffy kind. Now it is stopped.

I checked the weather for today. The temperature is currently -3 degrees, but it will reach 8 degrees later in the afternoon.
