Yes, this is one of those twisted posts I make here on mylot. When we first got introduced to these snakes, there was no way I was going to try them, but my kids are them and were very happy. No, these aren't the creepy reptiles that crawl on the ground and strike fear! They are these gummy like sweets shaped like snakes and called 'Snakes'. I am not a big fan of their chewy feel and usually pass them. But my kids love them - I think these sweets were aimed at kids. Do you think you could eat one of these snakes - which color would you choose.

Actually I have eaten a snake, a live baby water snake about 6-8 inches long, sucked it down like a strand of spaghetti. Gave me gas, nastiest burps ever.

Snake soup is quite popular here in Winter. It is supposed to warm up the body.

I’ve seen gummy worms, but not gummy snakes. I’d have loved them as a child.

@pitstop I did eat real snake once unwittingly. I have a phobia regarding serpents and when I realised what I was eating all I could think of was snake inside me and couldn’t wait to get rid of it. Even the process of getting rid of it was creepy.

I think all sweets are aimed at kids but adults love them too. I only eat chocolate now. No sweets for me.
