I am really disappointed

I bought a beautiful heated blanket from Amazon slightly after New Years. I didn't open it until a few days ago, as I had other things I was dealing with here. Unforunately, although I really love the material of the blanket..it is very soft and plush. It doesn't heat! Now, I guess I will forced to send this back. I like the blanket so much otherwise, I am almost tempted to keep it, but I paid for heat darn it. I could ask for a working battery but who knows I could get the same situation again and the return window could close. I paid enough for this it should work.

I just hate when that happens. Hopefully you can get a replacement soon before you don't need it as much!

Yes, the idea was to have a battery operated blanket in case of a power outage but that might not be in the cards. They did have quite a few that worked with a 12 volt battery plug in which I have in the car..but I don't know how long a charge would last. I think I will just get a regular electric throw and worry about getting a battery operated one next year, and hope we don't have an ice storm in Feb.

@snowy22315 That will probably work best. I asked for a refund for some dish towels I bought on Amazon and was told to just keep them with the refund. Which was nice, but not sure what I'll do with them.

@1creekgirl Yes, sometimes they do let you keep the product if you aren't happy with it.

No, I think they want it back, sometimes they do do that though..probably more likely if it is an Amazon product,

Not at all, but even the reviews were the battery heats, they say it doesn't get very warm

Could it just need a new battery?

That stinks. I hate having to make returns, and I rarely do. But I understand doing it for this item.

That’s the worst part of Amazon…having to return things. I was at the Amazon place this morning to pick up an order, and the four people ahead of me were all sending things back.

Could you make sure the battery is inserted the right way? It may have been put in backward to save the charge. If you really love everything else, maybe you could get a new battery.

The battery was probably at fault. You should return the blanket and request a new one.

I don't want to request a new one, because it might be the same situation. I don't want to take a chance of being disappointed again. It would probably be harder to return the second time as well.
