I Found the Culprit

You might remember I thought one or more of my candles was causing my allergies to activate. Instead of lighting different ones at different times of day, I lit one per day, and waited for the results. I found the culprit. It’s a candle called Liquid Velvet, and it smells so good. It was a $48 candle (no, I didn’t pay for it myself- no way!), so throwing it out seems a shame. I can’t give it to my stepmom because she literally cannot smell anything but smoke. My best friend doesn’t like candles. My sister doesn’t use them due to rambunctious children. But going around asking others I know if they want a quarter used candle seems silly. I think I’ll keep it for an occasion where I am out of candles, and am desperate to get rid of my neighbor’s cigarette smoke odor. Throwing away something that pricey just seems wrong. So does charging $48 for a candle!
Have you ever have to throw away something semi or actually expensive?

It really makes me sick to have to throw money away. I’m glad that you figured it out.

Yes, but I felt bad about it after the fact, as it was a gift.

Well expensive items, I guess I haven't intentionally thrown any expensive ones, only cheap items. However, there were expensive ones that I had no choice but to throw them away. Just like food supplements and medicines, there were some that I haven't noticed were expiring so no choice, though it was a waste of money but they could not be used anymore.

Some smells I cannot tolerate, you'll find the right person to give it to, I don't like throwing stuff away either, I will donate first.

The name is kind of silly, but I think I've smelled those before. If it is what I was thinking of they do smell good.

@AmbiePam We we're getting wax melts a couple weeks ago and there was one called "warm wood" and I was like...that's a bit of an unfortunate name.

Oh! Good that you found the culprit.
Even I will have no heart to throw away such expensive items. But we have to do it at times. The recent incident that comes to my mind...my nephew brought one snack from Malaysia. It was quite expensive. But then it had seafood and we all are allergic to it. I couldn't ask my neighbours as they are pure vegetarians. I could not find any takers and the packet expired and was in garbage.
