Today's trip to the little Tesco. (4/2/2025)

I've just been to the little Tesco again. My Mum gave me her shopping list, club card and £30 in cash. I wore my gloves again, because ever though it looked sunny out, I knew it would be a bit chilly in the air. When I set off it was a bit breezy. When I got into the shop I got a basket and put it on top of Mum's shopping trolley as usual, then I went to where the magazines are. Then I took off my gloves and put them in my pockets, and got out the shopping list. I got 2 TV magazines as usual, then I went round to the other side where the fresh bakery stuff is. There were some chocolate croissants, but no bags to put them in, only sheets of paper to pick them up with. I didn't want them to be rattling round inside the trolley without being in a bag, so instead I got 4 Belgian chocolate cookies in a bag instead. Syd didn't want a bounty bar today, he wanted a snickers instead, so I went to look for that. I found a massive double one, but I thought that was too big, so I looked around for a smaller one, and I found one a couple of shelves down. Then I went to get some bananas. The bananas were very big, and very green. I tried to get some that were smaller and a bit more yellow. I picked one bunch, but then I decided they were too green, so I put them back and got some more that were a bit more yellow. After that I went round to find some mashed potato for my Mum. I found a rectangular container of mashed potato. Mum wanted me to try and get some with stuff in it but I couldn't, I could only get the plain, so I got that. I also got some strawberries, that were near the mashed potato. And then I got some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum. Then I went and got some milk. There were some with the use by date of 10 Feb and 11 Feb infront, but I saw some with 14 Feb on behind so I got 2 of those. I stood by the freezer section for a moment to put the shopping list away, then I went to pay. It came to £15.45 without club card, but with club card it went down to £15.15. When I'd payed, I moved aside, and then put the purse away, and then put my gloves back on. Then I set off back home. As I was coming out of the little Tesco, I saw a hearse with a coffin in it coming round from the back of the row of shops next to the Tesco. There is an undertakes there, next to the hairdressers that my Mum goes to. It was warmer and less windy on the way home. When I got home I gave Mum her change, shopping list and club card. I went to the toilet, then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I showed Mum the chocolate Belgian cookies that I'd got and explained why I'd got them instead of the chocolate croissants, and she said that was OK. Then I showed her the mashed potato and said I couldn't get any with stuff in, and she said that's OK. Then I showed her the massive bananas, and said those were the smallest I could get! After I'd unpacked the groceries and put them away I sat down to watch Homes Under the Hammer. The first house was a lovely 3 storey house in Roath, Cardiff. It was a bit run down (one of the rooms didn't have a floor,) but it had great potential. But the people who bought it turned it into flats! If it goes on like this there'll be no houses left in Cardiff, they'll all be made into flats! Anyway, what are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

I like watching shows about older homes being renovated.

Yes, I like to see how they do it and see the end results. But sometimes I don't like the end result because they make them too "modern" and I like old fashioned things 'cause I'm an old fashioned kinda girl!

Homes Under the Hammer sounds an interesting show. It sounds like something I'd enjoy.

It is very good, but I don't like it when people turn houses into flats, or HMO's or make them open plan.

@sharonelton A productive day indeed for you. I’ve been attending to pot plants in the garden and buying a supply of dried meal worms to feed the birds with. I mended a fence and put the bins out for collection tomorrow.

It's chilly here today. I put out food for the birds. In a bit I need to go to the shop because we want baking potatoes for dinner.

It looks like a nice day again today, but ofcause it will still be a bit nippy in the air because it's still February. I'm glad you put some food out for the birds. We're going to the big Tesco again today, but Mum probably won't come round with me again. She'll either sit on a bench or stay at home.
