I think I am preparing for a zombie apocalypse

In the past week I have joined Walmart +, Cookunity and Wildgrain. I swear I am not worried about having enough food, my cupboards and freezers are overflowing. Was I just hungry?? I got a delivery from Walmart with a large package of chicken breasts which I have turned into Korma chicken, Garlic honey chicken and chicken pot pie farfalle. It is cold out, I seem to be making a lot of comfort food. lol We have a major snow event coming tonight 6-12 inches is predicted. When I told my best friend about my craziness she is the one who said I am preparing for the zombie apocalypse. She suggested we head to her sons house and bring the food, he has the weapons to protect us. We had a good laugh. Now I would like to do a mini review of cookunity and wildgrain. Cookunity meals come all prepared and fresh. You can warm them in the oven or microwave. The first box was 50% off. I got beef short ribs, chicken schnitzel, chicken Tikka masala, and Salisbury steak. They come with sides and I have to admit, I was impressed, they are restaurant quality. I can't wait for Monday for my next delivery. Wildgrain is artisan bread and pastries that come frozen and you bake them yourself. SO far I tried a cranberry walnut bread and some crispy rolls, Both excellent. I have chocolate croissants, French bread, snickerdoodles, and more to still try. I know its been a long time that I have been missing. I am still hibernating and trying to adjust to the reality that Al is gone. I did go on a 14 day cruise this fall with some friends. I got a great deal on a single and so we did back to back to Quebec and then back. I paid less than $2000 for the whole thing including insurance, internet, discounted excursions and specialty dining. I went up to Vermont two weeks ago to be with my sister in law when she had a heart procedure up at the university of Vermont medical center. lol went well and it was good to get away for a week. We have added my grandson's Shibu inu to our dogs so we have four now. Three of them think sleeping with me is the way to go. lol it gets a little crowded at times. I just got my cortisone shot in my knees yesterday so I will be pain free for a while. I still haven't sold the Florida house, I am undecided and I just had to put a new roof on down there a few months ago. My girl friend and I were laughing about me having a roof over my head since I replaced the roof on my main home just a year ago and even the cottage has a relatively new roof. I guess I am safe though we have had terrible weather in PA and a huge branch hit the side of the cottage. I filed an insurance claim and we will do the repair in the spring. When I was in Vermont, I went to TJ Maxx with my sister in law and I saw a small Kate Spade handbag for $29. I couldn't resist. I am so bad!!! I can't wait to check out all of your posts to find out what you all have been up to. I will try to be a more reliable friend.
