A trip to the ER

This morning Dale was having terrible chills, body aches, and fever. I called the Rescue Squad and they took him to the ER at a local hospital.
I suspected it might be the flu and it is. The hospital had run out of flu tests...the infection is everywhere here.
He had a flu shot, so maybe this won't be such a severe case. Watching out for pneumonia, staying hydrated, taking Tylenol.
I was finally able to get my flu shot last week...hoping I don't catch this from Dale.
The only good thing was that ER wasn't packed like the two bigger hospitals are that we usually go to and wait for hours and hours to be seen.
Is flu bad where you are? Stay as well as you can.

Oh poor Dale I had a flu shot in the fall,but I have heard that the flu this year is much worse than COVID.

@1creekgirl Well, just goes to show that vaccines aren't a magic bulllett. You can still get sick. I wish you luck.

He had a flu shot, so hoping it won't be so bad. It's already killed over a hundred people in NC. Dale's in a high risk category because of his age.

We're praising God that Dale seems to be having a mild case. No fever yesterday, but still really tired.

Yes, there was a community wide bulletin put out last week about taking steps to avoid catching the flu here. Pretty and I still wear masks if we go anywhere...

@1creekgirl They're valuable all the time. Pretty and I have only gotten sick one time (colds or flu) since we started wearing them. We've both gotten upset stomachs or other pains, of course.

I sure hope Dale will all right and recover quickly, I will put in a prayer for him, Funny, whatever the reason I have not had the flu in ages. I mostly stay indoors,

@1creekgirl We are OK from the tummy one but one of my granddaughters woke with an earache and coughing again. My son feels sniffles coming on. Seems every year it gets worse. My doctor wants me to get the pneumonia shot. She never asked me to before but now worried for me.
