It’s Hard To Get Enough

Since I’ve been lifting weights my son has me upping my protein intake. The only way that I’ve been able to achieve my daily goal is to eat a ton of chicken breast. I sometimes feel like I’m going to start clucking and sprout wings. I love it when I find other high protein foods and drinks. I recently found the yogurt drink in the photo. I rather like it. Have you tried it ? Or do you know of other high protein foods or drinks ?

I try to eat as little processed foods and drinks as possible. I get my protein from eggs( they say it is the perfect protein) and mostly from beans and lentils, nuts and seeds.

I really don’t enjoy it, but I do understand the importance of staying fit. I am blessed that my son keeps me motivated and is my trainer. I only wish that I had started younger.

I have been eating a lot of Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese is supposed to be even better. Beans, chia seeds etc, Almonds are all good.

I would say eggs, but we know how the price of eggs are right now . There are protein powders . . . I get a plant based one for my mom for her smoothies. Then there's Greek Yogurt, which can also be put into a smoothie.

@Tampa_girl7 I suppose eggs might still be the cheaper protein, but at this rate I don't want to be using too many eggs.

Chicken is my go-to protein source. The Greek yogurt I eat is also fortified.

Cottage cheese is a good source. I also order cases of Protein2O from Amazon. I like the tropical coconut flavor. The Skinnytaste web site has lots of high-protein recipes.

@Tampa_girl7 I actually made these high protein egg bagels twice last week. They are super simple and pretty good. I had one toasted this morning with a fried egg (more protein) and a slice of cheddar cheese.
These High-Protein Egg Bagels get their yellow color from egg yolks, which also make them extra fluffy. They’re so easy, too—no boiling or yeast required. Simply mix with Greek yogurt and bake or air fry!

There are many protein shakes on the market, some even a vegan formula. You can do lots with them, smoothies and shakes, etc.
