We are streaming storage wars. We watched a lot of the new ones. But none of the old ones. My husband and I went a couple of years ago to some storage locker auctions. And there was nothing good in any of those lockers. It does make you wonder if they get the money that it is worth when they sell those items. I saw online where you could bid online for auctions and if you win you have to go to the state and get the stuff which if you stay in a hotel you might loss more than you would get for the auction stuff. So I would never buy one out of state.

At one time there was a rumor going around that the lockers were staged to film the show. Who knows if true or not. I did not like all the bickering on that show. I have seen a few local auctions for storage lockets. I threatened to go to one right outside our town, but my husband had a good point--where would I put the stuff? And you have to remove it right then. You are right on out of town/state auctions. You would have to be in business and moving stuff to be able to afford the expenses, even if a write off.

That is why I would not bid on out of state lockers. So true where would you store the items once you bought them.

@jstory07 Some people do have good stuff in them, but you just don't know! I know when we helped my cousin move her mom into her home after her dad passed away, she had to get a storage locker and we packed it with all the excess stuff she didn't have room for at home.

There should be an agreement for shipment if it is out of state.

That would cost to much. That is why the buyer has to go get the stuff. You would have to rent a uhaul if there was a lot of stuff. To many expensive involved.

If the people who owned those lockers actually had something valuable in them, they'd probably take it or sell it when they left.

In those kind of deals, you never know if you lose or add some money.

I would never need a storage because I live out of a duffel bag. That's right. I am practically an extreme minimalist at this point.

That would be fun if I was single.

@jstory07 It's less worrisome that's for sure. Less packing and organizing.
