Experiment of full staring during a conversation

Many a time we may not give full face contact during a conversation. Suppose you speak to a person for half an hour and you are seated opposite one another, look into his or her eyes and face directly while speaking, without looking away even for a few seconds.
Is it very difficult? It sounds like a simple thing and yet it could be one of the most difficult

All the men in my life are very tall and I am very petite so it's hard for me to make eye contact with them. I have to strain my neck and it hurts to look up at them so I give up and stare at their chest instead when we are having a conversation. I don't have this trouble with fellow women, even the tall ones.

I think in your case, it’s probably best to all sit down to talk, or be at a distance.

Maintaining eye-to-eye contact with someone of a higher status is considered rude in Korea.

It’s the same when you are doing public speaking. The speaker should scan the room and try to avoid making eye contact, so as not to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

I would feel embarrassed to stare into someone else's eyes for a long time.
