Brain Fog Says Hi

First it was insomnia to say hi. Now it's brain fog's turn. I have been having a hard time thinking straight today. I've been feeling a bit off regardless of my health problems from the moment I woke up and keep freezing in place and forgetting what I'm supposed to do and when. My brain fog comes and goes, but it usually occurs when I have a few bad days of fitful sleep.
I have been freezing in place multiple times today. I keep getting stuck both mentally and physically. My energy has depleted and my posture is sagging due to my lack of energy.
My mood is very low right now and I am having a really hard time just to think straight, comprehend what I'm thinking, and even think at all. It's like something is blocking my mind and preventing me from having any thoughts. I'm having a hard time concentrating, being productive, moving about.
I keep finding myself standing in one place, sitting glued to some place, staring off into space. I hate having brain fog. I can't wait for my next doctor's appointment to vent about all my health problems again.

I’m glad you have an upcoming appointment you can tell a doctor about these problems. I have brain fog, but not as badly as you describe. Someone, probably multiple people need to look into your health status. You keep fighting, and we’ll keep rooting for you.

@lilacskies Just hang in there. It has to ease up sooner or later! The only thing that helped me when I was getting the often was a dark room and quiet!

My brain fog has subsided a bit, but it's still very noticeable. I have been referred to multiple doctors for my issues, but I remain struggling. Thank you so much. I appreciate it!

@kareng My brain fog was gone by the time I woke up this morning. I had a migraine all morning and noon, but that has let up too. Now I'm suffering from a lack of appetite and am in bed recuperating because I just can't get out of bed. Ugh!

I think you need a specialist to deal with your multiple issues. Maybe a neurologist would be in order.

@lilacskies That is good news that you are feeling better. It's right after 4 pm here and I'm ready for a nap. I may go get some rest, not much else to do on a cold day!! I do need to get dinner on though. Humm. Choices, choices!

Yes, it settled down now. I've been awake for an hour now and I am more alert. Thank you. I have so much to vent with the doctor. My brain fog is just one more thing he will have to listen to.

Sooner than later on the doctor. You don't seem to be getting any better. I hope the doc will find what is wrong.

@celticeagle I don't share my personal identifying information with anyone online unless I know the person face to face. I apologize. However, I do vent on here often so please feel free to stop by anytime. I hope you understand.

It feels like I am never getting better. I've been struggling since 2015. I have so many health problems. I even have bedsores on the back of my thighs now.

I hope that fog lifts soon. I have had a bit of a problem with my anxiety for no particular reason lately and I find if I totally relax and lay in bed for a while I am fine again

Thank you. It's still here, but has slightly subsided. I think the drink I had helped. I have issues with social anxiety in large group settings, but can handle it better when I'm working because I distract myself with my tasks.

Oh brain fog! I always experience that quite often. Getting enough sleep has always been my problem since in my late 20's. And recently, I have been experiencing, Tip of the Tongue Phenomenon. It's frustrating sometimes.

I laughed reading your comment. Tip of the Tongue Phenomenon is quite alarming though. It could be an early sign of dementia or Alzheimer's.

What is brain fog btw? Is it a medical condition or like when you can't think properly that's brain fog?
I am depressed too most of the times. The world is a sad place to be in. I can hardly remember the last time when I was truly happy.

@lilacskies yeah same here. I can resonate with your last sentence. However, for the past few years I aim for something but I end up somewhere else.

It depends. Some people have only brain fog and no other medical condition. Other people have medical conditions that give them brain fog as a side effect. For me, it's the latter. I have brain fog due to insomnia and that prevents from concentrating properly when I have it. I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't experience happiness, but there are rare times when I feel content. I also feel satisfaction when I accomplish something.

@Dreamerby At least you are making an attempt to aim for something rather than stay stagnant. Good luck with your endeavors. Stay stay strong and don't give up.

@lilacskies i'm glad you're doing better.
i had some small experience with insomnia but it got better. it lasted up to 2months, i think. that's why i constantly go out daily even if i don't want to, so the outside air can relax me and make me sleepy before bed.

Me too. This is due to my insomnia. I have sleeping problems that affect my concentration. That's okay. I'm doing much better today. This was an issue yesterday.
