I have always enjoyed Sigourney Weaver's acting ever since I first saw her in "Ghost Busters". I often wonder about her first name. I had never seen it before. Come to find out that at the age of 14, she changed her name of 'Susan' and adopted Sigourney from a miner character in F. Scott Fitsgerald's The Great Gatsby. A wealthy socialite by the name of Sigourney Howard. She felt that the name 'Susan' was too common and because she wanted to be more distinctive.
