Magic Mushroom Lamp, what do you think?

It’s for the new apartment, the one and only thing I plan on buying from this point on. I have this glass coffee table that I think it will look great on. Maybe in the corner.. or even center. I’ll have to see. Especially because it lights up and reflects off the glass. Right now, it’s just sitting on my desk up here in the prison cell. I have been practicing the Minimalist Lifestyle and Rule #1 is do you want this, or do you need this? Only buy what you need. Well, this one was tricky because I did want it but also needed it for the coffee table. So I bought it! But nothing else now. I mean it. As of right now it’s just working, SAVING, decluttering & repacking, and waiting for that phone call. (I’m on a short waitlist.) But I need the extra time anyway. I plan on keeping only 30% of my belongings and my mom takes the rest to Church every Saturday. I could (possibly) sell some of the old stuff on eBay, but I just honestly don’t have the time to be listing & shipping. Apartment could call in a week and I’d still be nowhere near ready to move in. So what do you guys think of this? It didn’t cost much, I’m pretty happy about that.

I am also a minimalist. It looks interesting. How much did it cost? And where did you buy it from?

I saw something on here (pretty sure it was you) saying you have all your belongings in one duffel bag. I am ENVIOUS I’m not there quite yet, but I sure am working on it. Thank you @lilacskies Beautiful username

@Melanie_Marie Yes, that was me. I am practically an extreme minimalist at this point. Thank you so much. You should try it. I assure you, it will change your life. Good luck! Forget the material stuff and chase the experiences. You are welcome. Oh, thank you. You are the first member to say that to me on here. Haha

@lilacskies I am practicing every day and getting better and better at it. I’ll be keeping an eye on your posts because I’m still learning. And you’re very welcome. Hey, when I’m envious, I just say it! Why not?

The lamp is super cute! I hope the move goes well. Moving is such a big chore.

It really is. Today I’m taking a break. Answering myLot responses and then a Ribeye. Only 2 things on the agenda. Thank you Marie

@MarieCoyle They are the BEST cuts of steak. Some of my Carnivore buddies warned me, once you try a Ribeye, there’s no going back. Expensive, though. There’s always the Poor Man’s Ribeye (Chuck Eye) .. I’ve seen them only at Walmart and I get those too.

Only buy what you need? That sounds like an advert for flour. Oh wait, that’s knead isn’t it. Yeah, it looks great, and not in the least bit phallic.

I think it's really lovely. I think decluttering is a great idea for anyone. Most of us have too much stuff.

Agreed. I have so much “saved” stuff it’s almost scary. But I’m working through all of it. I have these medium-sized white boxes and it’s really cool to see everything going from large bins into these smaller boxes, and I only have a few. 70% of everything goes to the church, and the rest is plain old garbage. So I just toss it. Thanks Judy

Thanks B I was looking at salt rock lamps but they were orange and that wouldn’t go with the theme of the place I’m moving to. I needed green. :)

@pitsipeahie Yes, I’ve heard they have a very slight smell of the ocean to them. Would still love to get one if I see it in more of a blue/green shade

@Melanie_Marie Salt rock lamps? Are those the Himalayan Salt lamps well known for their health benefits? Yeah mostly they're orange-reddish, there are also some pinks and off-whites.

This is very lovely. It reminds me of my 3D printing lamps which also look very cute. Since I have a 3D printer, so it doesn't cost me much to make it. If you were here, I would give you one
