Things that make me wonder...why?

I don't live far from a nearby grocery. Whenever I go there, I often see this car, that is parked in the employee part of the parking lot, so evidently whoever drives this thing, works there.
Have to wonder...why would you do this? A poor, rather ratty baby doll, wired to the grill of your car? For some reason, it just doesn't sit right with me. But maybe it has meaning to the person who put it there, who knows, right?
It still seems very strange.

Seems rather sociopathic, unless he and I am quite sure it must be a man, wants to demo the car is his baby or something.

Come to think of it, I saw it at the stoplight by the store once. A guy was driving. When I see it at the market, I've seen people walk by it and shake their head...so I guess I'm not alone in thinking that it's strange!

We have someone around here who does something similar with what looks like a ventriloquist's dummy... around Halloween, which at least makes some sense. There's also an SUV with Zombie Response Team decals that occasionally has mannequin parts dangling off it in visually interesting manners year-round.
I got nothin' on the poor baby doll, though. That's just weird.

Around Halloween, we see some strange sites as well. I was behind a car one day that appeared to have a bloody hand reaching out of the trunk of the car. Very realistic how they did it, but certainly startling.

It gets a lot of looks and comments from people. Hope whoever drives it never runs from the law, that doll on the front would be there to identify him/her.

It bothers a lot of people, you are not alone. It made me a bit sad...what if that is some little one's baby doll?

It's not really my business to ask. People have their reasons for what they do sometimes. And many people now have a short fuse..,.no, thanks. I will simply speculate.

I don't understand it. It's been on the front of that car for awhile. I don't like to be judgmental, but it seems like it's just wrong somehow.

Because that person thinks it's funny.
The same reason I used to keep a baby seat in my car with a monkey sucking a pacifier. Because it was funny. Sometimes things don't MEAN anything except the owner has a sense of humor. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean the owner doesn't like it.

That is pretty odd sight – something like a baby doll attached to the car’s grill. It is easy to feel uneasy/creepy about these things, especially when it just out of place or unsettling. You are right though- it could have some personal meaning for the person, even if it is not clear for others. Maybe its quirky way for them to personalize their car or it could be something nostalgic or perhaps symbolic to them. However, it is not hard to get a strange vide from it, since it is not something we see every day. I can understand why it does not sit right with you – its unusual and I am with you on this, it’s definitely unusual! I wonder if anyone else noticed the same . Somethings are little mysteries of life.

It really is creepy, though. I know that some locals have wondered what kind of effect this could have on a small child observing it--what would they think? That it would be a fun thing to do, or that it had something to do with a child like they are being hit by a car, or?? Kids do think, and what they don't know, they imagine things, just like we adults do. It's just...very odd, indeed!

My son said it was creepy, and he rarely says anything about strange things people do.
