Got a Nail in My Tire

I'm so mad at myself that I broke down crying.
I went to a doctor's appointment yesterday. I haven't had to go there physically in 4+ years, so I was already nervous about remembering how to get there and it was a new doctor, so I was nervous about that.
When I got to the building, they were putting a new roof on the building. It appeared as though they were tearing off on the right hand side of the building and the left side of the building was fenced off so I parked in front of the building. But while I was in the doctor's office, I worried about my car the whole time getting hit with flying debris from tearing off the roof.
As it turns out, I got a nail in my tire no doubt from the roofing nails and construction there in the parking lot.
It never even occurred to me to park in a neighboring building's parking lot or across the street at another building and walk across. It never crossed my mind that nails would be there.
So here I am now hoping the tire can be plugged and not have to buy a new $200 tire.
Photo is generic stock photo of a nail in a tire.

Plugging a nail puncture is not usually a big deal. It shouldn't be more than a few dollars. Haven't you ever had one before? Last time I had something like that was a piece of metal somehow embedded in my tire that caused me to lose air

Ouch. Best money you can ever spend is “road hazard insurance” when you get new tires. The only “down side” of mine is, because I got my tires at the dealership, I have to take it to a dealership (anywhere) to get it fixed. Since I have a popular car brand that shouldn’t be difficult, though.
Hope it is patched easily. (Don’t take it to Big O, they’re crooks.)

Well, I bought the car used in 2020 (it's a 2020) from a used car dealership and don't need new tires on it yet. Only 24,000 miles on it. It turns out the nail hadn't pierced the tire, they just needed to pull it out, so it was no big deal. So hubby appreciated the repair place so much that he got the oil changed and tires rotated and windshield wipers replaced. $145 total for everything. So it turned out okay.
