As I have mentioned, I tend to speak French with the dude I buy my cigs from at the discount gas station. I woke up this morning in a grumpy mood, but headed out to buy some cigs and groceries. My North African "bro" was there, at the gas station, and we carried out the entire cig transaction in French. When I finally thanked him in Italian, he laughed. Our interaction put me in a better mood. Do little things that happen during the day ever enhance your mood?

I lived in Italy for a year when I was a toddler. I remember maybe 15 Italian words. Many people from Europe and North Africa can speak a handful of words of Spanish, French, and Italian. This guy (he looks Russian or something to me--could be part "middle Eastern," but he's not "black") is from a country (I forget which one; perhaps Algeria) where they speak French and Berber.

@lilacskies I am sure this fella's Country was colonized by French a few hundred years ago. They speak Berber, French, and Arabic there.

@TheHorse Wow, really? That's so cool! Where did you live? How old were you? Is your family Italian? Maybe he is Moroccan or Egyptian. That's interesting how North Africans can speak Italian, but then I thought about it, and it makes sense though. There are lots of North Africans living in Italy. Lots of Africans in general.

Yes, they do; even a smile or a hug from appropriate people help.

I occasionally feed stray dogs from my balcony. One time, some puppies showed up, and a crow was pecking at one of their tails. It was hilarious and really lifted my mood for a while.

How fun!: The French language is one of my favorites to listen to. I enjoy the times I spend with my grandson. He and I are both Scorpios and think a lot alike. He really is a pleasure to have in my life and he lightens my mood alot.

I can be in a cranky mood and then someone smiles saying hi and I can change to feeling good in a flash. I've been very tired and overwhelmed today and my daughter, who is having severe medical issues and almost bedbound, sent me a photo of her up and actually doing some cleaning and sorting. My mood sored with her having a good day.
