We almost got it all, in one day.

Today has been the weirdest weather day in a long time here.
We started out with big winds, howling. Then we had a loud thunderstorm. That didn't last long, and diminished to a mild rain, although it was a sideways rain since it was still so windy. Then another short thunderstorm, then back to the sideways rain.
About 1 pm., we got sleet. It was a bit loud. It stopped and it was back to rain, it was 31 so a bit iffy out there. Then it all stopped, except the wind. It got a lot worse. People have been chasing their trash cans, etc. all day here. (I put mine in the garage to avoid that).
About 4 pm I heard a big thump by the back door. It was a little chair one of my neighbors sits in outside sometimes. I haven't seen him in it since last fall, he must have tried sitting out on a nicer day and forgot the chair. No harm done.
Now, we have snow. Big, big fat flakes. But it won't last long, either. The only missing form of precipitation we didn't get today was hail, and I am NOT sorry we didn't get that!

We're getting wind and lots of it. I'm almost sorry I stood my can upright again. although I'm sure the recycle bin is in the neighbor's yard.

@MarieCoyle I had been keeping ours just inside our back fence, but it became to much of a pain to drag it back each week. Might just have to put in the effort so stuff doesn't go flying.

Sounds like you got it all today. We just had the big wind and rain. There was a tornado warning not far away though.

I am glad you escaped the tornado warning. We are currently getting what our weather people call graupel, who’s is tiny white balls of hard snow. Think “dippin’dots” only smaller!

Well, I live in a part of the country that there are four seasons per year. I am used to winter, just not such a messy day with everything hitting us at once.

That is a crazy day you had.
We had a bit of rain, lots of sun, warm temperatures and then rain again.
Tonight will get cold and rain will freeze into ice and the roads will be bad in the morning.
Tomorrow's high will be 0 today's high was 14 or 15C.

Yes, all the wet stuff that fell from the sky is going to freeze tonight. Hopefully it will be gone by the time people are going to school and work!

@MarieCoyle We have a gorgeous day today with a high of 66. It's about 62 and nice with blue skies, sunshine and not much wind at all. That 5 mph is about normal around here.

It’s been quite some time since we had more than a tiny bit of sunshine in a single day. But Monday and Tuesday it’s supposed to be 68 degrees outside!! A tropical heat wave!!

What an array of weather you had. We have had some wind but not bad. The weather app says the temp will be in the 60s this weekend. It is supposed to rain this evening.
WHen I lived in the southeastern part of Idaho we got a lot of hail. Not fun. The size of quarters and had to walk home from school in it.

Yes, we are supposed to get a lot warmer this coming week. They claim we may get some bad thunderstorms, but time will tell on that. Nothing today, just a bit of sunshine and it did make it to 48!

We have had some really large hail before, but luckily not recently.
Tonight, first rain, then a bit of sleet, then snow. But it will melt tomorrow.

We still have 45mph winds. Lots of semi trucks blew over, all over the Midwest.

Around mid January my area received snow and winds but no sleet. Just recently it did rain and wind but no tornados in our area thankfully.

Wow, that really does sound like a wild weather day! It must have been quite something to watch all those shifts from thunderstorms to sleet and then snow. It’s a good thing you were prepared with the trash cans — chasing those down in that wind wouldn’t have been fun! And how funny about the neighbor’s chair making its way to your back door. Hopefully, the snow doesn’t stick around too long, and the weather calms down soon. Stay cozy and safe!

Our cool breezy weather is spoiling fun for the bikers on Bike Week it is definitely not beach weather. This makes me hear them rumbling and revving up and down the streets,
