Ijust stumbled upon this account that I forgot about. Didn't even know mylot still existed. How long have you been away before returning? Week, month, year? It's been seven years for me!
Hopefully, I can pick up and be part of the community once I retire in August. It's hard to believe that this site has been successful and still around!

Thank you...It will be nice not to have to drive close to an hour to and from work...think that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

@terri0824 That was the road for us. We bought this place in 2008 for weekend getaway outside the city and we loved it so much we moved on in. We had 1.5 hour drive one way into work and back, but time wise it was only 15-20 minutes longer. So worth it! I retired in 2017 after I had a stroke and my husband retired in 2021. We love it out here in the country!

I've had hiatuses for a month or so before, and once about 6 or 7 months. I usually find my way back. But yeah, it's still around and while it's a far cry from its former self with lots and lots of members having flown the coop, it's still a great place to be.
