Adult coloring books seem alot more involved which isn't always a good thing.

@Juliaacv My sister did something like that when she was a kid. It was on black velvet though. It turned out really nicely. My parents still have it.

@snowy22315 When I was sick in 1974, I used to do poster art, I think it was called.
The pictures came in a canister and you coloured them with thin tipped markers.
I want to say that they might have been paint by number, but very very detailed.

I used to have a coloring phase. That was years ago though. I can't sit down and color anymore. My ADHD is really bad.

I do like adult coloring books and can find it therapeutic unless it is too detailed.

Yes I have in the past and I have one now that my son's girlfriend gave me for Christmas. Just yesterday I was coloring in it. I have always loved to color.

I am using thin markers. I don;t have any crayons, but I would have preferred colored pencils.

I thought I would love them, since I’ve done a lot of coloring with my younger nieces and nephews.. but like you said, very involved.
Too detailed, too many colors in teeny-tiny areas, and I can’t see very well, near or far.
I still like the kids coloring books! There, I said it. Haha
