A well deserved nap

After days of exhaustion, today was finally different. No alarms, no deadlines—just a quiet, peaceful day all to myself. The kind of day I hadn’t had in a long time.
I stretched out, feeling the weight of the past days slip away as I nestled into the perfect spot. The afternoon air was calm, the world outside humming softly in the background. As soon as I closed my eyes, sleep wrapped around me like a warm blanket, pulling me into a deep, uninterrupted nap.
Time faded. There were no worries, no racing thoughts—just pure rest. When I finally woke up, the world felt lighter, colors seemed brighter, and for the first time in a while, I felt whole. It was just a nap, but somehow, it was exactly what I needed.

Rest after a period of hard work does revive our bodies.

Your writing is very poetic.
I wish I woke up refreshed. Usually I have to fall out of bed to get going, feeling rough as hell, and then it’s downhill until I hit the sack again.
I’m glad at least one of us is getting some.

@fracis22 A taxi isn’t so bad, at least you get to your destination without a hitch. I’ve fallen asleep many a time on the train and missed my stop. Occasionally, due to uncaring, unforgiving rail staff, I’ve had to fork out for another ticket to get back to where I wanted to be, AND desperately trying not to fall asleep again, to avoid a repeat performance.
