I went shopping to the big Tesco again today. (19/3/2025)

I went shopping to the big Tesco again this afternoon, and I went on my own again. When I got there, the normal automatic doors that I usually go in through were closed and shuttered, so I had to go up the other end and go through the other doors, then come back down to the soft recycle receptacle, get rid of that, and then on to the lifts. I went up on the lift, and into the main shop. The first thing I did when I got in the main shop was I went to look at the magazines. I got 2 different healthy eating magazines and a stamping magazine. Then I went and got my Mum some "blue" tic tacs. They were fresh mint and had no added sugar. Then I got myself 2 bottles of water. Next I went to get Syd some Sensodine toothpaste, but when I got there, there was so much choice (of Sensodine toothpastes) I didn't know which to get! (Syd didn't specify which on his shopping list!) So I just chose the cheapest! Well, I tell a lie, it was the second cheapest, the cheapest was whitening, and I got rapid relief, or some such thing! Then I went to see if they had any MenoHerb for my menopause symptoms, but they didn't have any! I've only got one left of my old batch. Then I got some pads for my Mum and some panty liners for me, and then I went to the fruit and veg section. I couldn't get any edamame beans at all, not even the spicy ones in the pods, but I got some blueberries, spring onions, red pepper and some fresh coriander for me. For my Mum I got green grapes and 2 lots of strawberries. I went round the other side and got a red grapefruit for me and some walnuts for my Mum. Then I went and looked for this vegetable thing that I'd seen in one of my vegan magazines but I couldn't see it at all. But I did manage to get some sweet potato wedges! I went and got 2 bottles of milk and my vegan yoghurts, and I got some mini rices for my Mum and Syd for their puddings for Sunday, but I couldn't get the strawberry flavour so I had to get vanilla something or other instead. Then I went and got some grated cheese and some mini pork pies again. They've changed the design on the packaging of the grated cheese. After that I went and got some of the tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread from the end of the isle that Mum puts on her jacket potatoes. After that I went to the vegan and ready meals isle. My Mum didn't want anything from this isle today. I couldn't get my vegan pizza again, but I did get 4 packets of meat free bites, some tofu and some cauliflower burgers that I'm going to try for my lunch on Monday. Next I went to the pasta, rice and sauces isle and got some mirin for me and two lots of the Tilda egg fried rice in the green packet for my Mum. Then I remembered that my Mum wanted a cauliflower cheese that is at the end of one of the isles, so I had to go and get that. Then I headed towards the cakes, and on the way I saw an old skinny man that comes to my Church. He's given me a project to paint. Anyway, he didn't say much, he just waved. So then I went to the cakes. My Mum wanted some mirangue stuff for supper tonight, but all I could find was this toffee cream mirangue. When I got home and showed my Mum she said it was OK anyway. Then I got some Viennese Whirls. After that I headed for the teas and coffees isle and got some chocolate digestives for Syd but I had to get Tescos own brand because if I wanted to get the McVities I'd have had to get a mulitpack! Then I went and got myself some Matcha green tea T-bags and some galaxy vegan hot chocolate, and some Typhoo T-bags for my Mum. Then I went and got some liquorice allsorts for Syd. Then I went to the cereal isle and got some more of the grape and nut cereal because I couldn't get my vegan pizza again today. And then it was off to the frozen section. I got my vegan magnum ice lollies, and I got some green beans for my Mum, but I couldn't get the ones she wanted. She wanted sliced green beans but I could only get whole green beans. Then I went round the other side and got some potato stars for my Mum. Then I got some of those things that I can't say because it thinks it's a bad word. And they're not actually meat balls because meat balls are made of beef and these are made of pork! I then got some of the battered fish, both the 4 battered cods and the 2 fancier ones. Next I went and got myself some toilet paper and some of the pink hand wash laundry liquid. Syd wanted some liquid soap, and I was looking everywhere for it in the laundry and household cleaning isle. I had to go back down to the earlier isles. I looked in the hand care section, it wasn't there, but then I found it in the bath and shower isle! Then I couldn't remember if my Mum said Syd liked or didn't like the green liquid soap, but I got the green one anyway! As I was coming back I saw Julie from Church and we had a little chat. So then I went and got myself an Amazon gift card, and then I went to pay. It came to just over £150. When I'd payed I went and sat on a bench for a bit and read one of the healthy eating magazines while I was waiting for Syd. I saw Julie from Church again. She asked me if I wanted a lift home, but I said I was waiting for my step-dad. Then I saw Nora King who used to come to Church, and she asked me how my Mum and Syd were. I said my Mum was "OK" and Syd was "still deaf!" At about 4:25pm I went down on the lift. I'd forgotten the door I usually go out of was out of action and I'd have to go all the way up and out of the other door, and then back down to the bench by the pick-up area where I usually sit and wait for Syd! Anyway, after I'd sat on the bench, it wasn't long before Syd came and we were on our way home. When I got home I gave my Mum her change, shopping list and club card. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly. Later I put the recycle out ready for the recycle bin man tomorrow. My Mum went to the house group tonight, so while she was out I listened to my Broken Strings opera CD which came recently and which has Wynne Evans on it as Peacock. I can't imagine!
