Well nothing is planning out.
Apartments really are out of the question ..many health factors to consider, but in the end, might have to accept one, like it or not.
I have not been able to view some that I had planned as in the Poets Corner..something always in the way.
Now I have a viewing for Saturday for another one that previously was ruled out.
The owner called me again.
I do not know why he is so set on me renting from him.
It seems suspicious but I may go just to check it out.
He had quoted me a price and it was fine, then he went up with that price, and I said not interested, then he called me again and said he may be more flexible.
Maybe he likes the sound of my voice
I just wish to find something and have it ready for June when we have to leave this place, with or without a place to go.
I am not signing another lease here to be euthanized with toxins.
No way no how.

It sounds to me that he is desperate to rent the place out. Just be cautious when visiting and give it a through look. Ask a lot of questions--bring a notebook with you to take notes. Take pics with your camera. When viewing several places sometimes you mix things up between properties. Keep trying on Poet's Row!!

Maybe the guy is just anxious to get his apartment rented and is willing to be flexible. I see that you mentioned that your son is going with you so that's a good idea. Hope something comes along my friend that isn't a health hazard.

Yes this one is not an apartment its a duplex with a garage in between the two and on one up or down..so that is why I am interested..apartments like sardine cans are killing us no joke with the toxins.

I personally think there is something cosmic in the air about this rental situation. Perhaps you haven't been able to find one that fits all criteria because one is just coming available that will knock your socks off. I hope this is the case.

I'm sorry but the guy who called you about the same apartment, raised the rent but has dropped the price again sounds fishy to me. I hope hw isn't just trying to get you in there and then raise the price again.
When my daughter and I looked at this place, the landlady quoted a price and Pretty suggest a lower price. When the landlady agreed, we included the price quote in the rental agreement. (We've been here 7 years now and the price is still the same, so that worked out well for us.)
I hope you find something you like before time for you to move out of your present place.

@RebeccasFarm It's often difficult to spot problems with a place when you're just going through it before renting or even buying a house.

That's weird he called you, be aware! If someone came to my rental and didn't want it, I didn't call them.
Keep looking, God has the perfect place for you, have you tried looking at houses?

Yes M..it seems something is up..I may not even go. But it is a half a house instead of an apartment which is what I want. That is the hook. I am taking my son with me for safety sick or not.

@allknowing Yes at the moment..but we are out of here come June..we are not signing another lease as the fumes that come inside here are so toxic..we have no choice..so...we really must find another place..but it is very difficult to do so you see? I have to face the reality of things and not just hoping for the best..must always be prepared.

That sounds exhausting! The back-and-forth with that landlord is definitely weird, but maybe checking it out will give you more clarity. Fingers crossed something solid comes through soon—you deserve a safe, healthy place to call home!
