Three days no water in my location

It's so frustrating to suffer water outage starting this day, Monday up to Wednesday evening. There's no memo sent by Water District. The management only announced at dawn of Monday when people were still sleeping. We only realized early morning water isn't available. This day I was absent to work we're busy at home and all people around going to the nearest town to buy water. It's so disgusting. I bathed with rubbing alcohol
. The leaders here planned to sue Water District. They should have made an announcement three days before to allow people to stock water. It's so annoying.

That would be awful. I hope you folks do sue them. They should run things better.

@celticeagle, yes water came back last night but seemed unsafe, it's colored rusty. It's clear in the morning.

Having fresh drinking water from a tap is something we take for granted here. On the rare occasions it’s not available, it causes panic as it is vital for our survival. When it does happen, the water companies but bowsers in the streets and deliver bottled water to the vulnerable.

@cacay1 Yep, I always keep a stock of bottled water, just in case. I’m guessing there must have been a burst pipe if they didn’t give you notice. Here, any planned work must be announced to give you time to fill contains or make other arrangements.
With a bit of luck it is back on before Wednesday. They often over-estimate the times in case there are problems.

@Orson_Kart the water District service should have announced ahead to avoid cramming of the people. Water is essential. Thankful it came back last night.

That would be annoying. Sometimes in the US there is a boil water warning, but usually doesn't run completely out. They had one in the city a couple of months ago after a storm knocked out some critical functions in the water treatment plant. I was in the store when people were buying huge quanitites of bottled water.

@wolfgirl569 yes it's not right, not informing the residents or consumers before cutting of water.

During the drought season, water here is kind or like - 2 days off- 3 days on, but we know about it so everyone usually has water stored for the off days. A lot of homes have tanks on the roofs. It can be awful if you're hit with something like that and was not able to prepare for it.

That is totally unacceptable. They should have at least explained the reason of water outage such as burst of water pipes.
