We are home at our retirement village and quite glad to be home. My friend has kept an eye on my garden which is very good of her but on the side path I found this little vagrant. This plant has not only forced its way up between the pavers but it’s also managed to have tiny flowers. I zoomed right in then cropped the photo heavily which has resulted in the photo being a bit blurred. I found something similar little plant years ago on a path in front of a church. Mother Nature is amazing sometimes.

@JudyEv I never hurt those tiny plants, they had a hard start of life.

It's amazing how tiny plants can push their way up through some very rough places.

Mother Nature is full of life and nurtures us all very well to an extent we take her for granted.

That's very true. I can hardly believe this little plant has not only grown here but has had some flowers.

I love the spring as I watch plants break through from the winter. It's refreshing and is therapy for me. Every year I start my plants earlier than the year before. I started with seed on tomato and peppers in January and have added seeds every week since of different types of veggies and flowers.

Good for you. That sounds very organised. You should have a lovely crop of veggies and flowers over a long period.

@JudyEv I hope so...though I don't feel as organized as I would like. Hopefully better so once I retire.

@terri0824 How long before you retire? I'm sure you'll love being retired once it happens.

@JudyEv Actually, taking a closer look, the plant looks like it’s being eaten by something. Maybe a slug? So hold the weed killer, and save the slug!

I've always been amazed when I see a little grass or a flower that has defied all the odds and managed to live.

Good to be home surely East,West home is best. Those weeds give out flowers just so that they are retained and not pulled out Smart weeds I say

@JudyEv It reminds me of those very early vegetables that we have here. The root vegetables that are the first signs of spring-asparagus and rheubarb. Hearty and sweet foods, like the little flower on this tiny plant.

We have dirt in our gutters and grass growing in the dirt. That is strange. My husband rolled the dirt grass up today and threw it all away.

I've seen that too. Grass growing in gutters. They need to be cleaned out before winter.
