Well productive morning, got to the trash dump and more importantly arranged to have that roll top desk delivered. They should be here next Weds. It got cold last night. I broke down and put the heat on, mostly because I didn't want friend to be cold, but he said he was. Oh well, that will teach him not to wear sweatshirt when he comes down. I hope everyone has a lovely day.

I am anticipating this will be our last brush with overly cool weather. We will be sweating bullets at least here before you know it. However, you never can really tell. One year it was cold until June. Another year it was too hot to use the oven by Easter.

@snowy22315 At least there, I just checked the long term forecast online.
I just checked our forecast, Sunday and Monday will be nice, but still cooler than normal, and next week will be cool again.
I blame myself, I put all of my heavy sweaters away into the cedar chest and pulled out all of my capris and short sleeved tops about a week ago. I have only myself to claim this one.
I remember years ago, I was dressed up in the costume as Bucky the Bunny at the community Easter Egg hunt and it was so hot (and dressed in that costume it was awful) the foil wrapped eggs that they had spread out in the lawn at the park were literally melting in the foil. You could see it as you walked by some of the eggs. The kids became quite covered in chocolate as they picked them up, it was funny to a certain extent.

@snowy22315 I get excited when the Draft comes around because I know big trades will happen, but there is nothing like end of summer anticipation for football.

Most of the exercise I’m getting in a day is walking back and forth from the thermostat to turn the furnace on, then turn it off (or turn the AC on), then turn it back on…
I’m taking it easy today. I have an allergist appointment tomorrow.

Taking it easy is always nice. I have not had the AC on although we hit 80 one day. Ceiling fans will do it in here. AC is reserved for the hottest days.

@anya12adwi The spring feeling doesn't typically last too long here. It gets hot pretty fast

Cold and super windy here today. We've had rain, snow showers, some sleet, and back to rain, all with that cold wind. And yes, it did get cold last night. I had to turn the heat on the last two nights, it was just too cold. But it will be warmer this next week, and before long, we will be posting about how hot it is out there...yep.

You have really had the wind there, but it is probably not that unusual for you. I was visiting Carbondale once in December and it was very windy and also shockingly cold. The air in these parts and even in NW PA doesn't have that kind of bite to it. I stopped in Western Indiana, and that air was as cold and raw as I ever felt.

Well, Illinois is a long state, like Florida--you can literally drive all day and still be in Illinois or Florida. Carbondale is like 225 miles south of me. This area I live in now has always had a lot of wind, but this year has been terrible for it. And it's been a very cold wind, as you say!

The sun is pretty strong here, but the air temp is rather cool. I was out this AM and it was quite chilly.

It's been cold here too. The temps will be up in the 60s on Monday; but then they're going right back down into the 40s. Very strange April.
