Do you have one?

How many of you have a waterpik or water flosser? My dentist recommended one a long time ago, but I didn’t try one until I got a chance to review one for free. Some people say the first thing they did was spray themselves in the face, but that’s why you have to read the directions carefully. It works so much better than just the regular floss. They have real power!

We have one but I've never used it. I don't think Pretty uses it anymore. (I rarely floss my teeth. My back teeth are really close together and I have to really force the floss between them to get it in there. I usually end up cutting my gums up doing that so stopped trying.) I broke one back tooth when I couldn't get the floss back out so just yanked it out... part of the tooth came with it.

@AmbiePam When I went to have the rest of that tooth pulled, the dentist started lecturing me until he looked at the way the other molars were overlapping... Then he just shook his head and said he could see how that could happen.

@AmbiePam And there it was, right there in your bathroom!! You should do a product review and tell all about the features. There is another post for you!

@kareng I recently got to review a $100 toothbrush. Which led me to the conclusion no one should spend $100 on a toothbrush. But I didn’t need to tell you that.

I’ve had it for awhile. I just couldn’t come up with a topic for discussion.

Do they really work that well? I should get one then. I have to be very careful of my dental health because of my other health issues and medications. I might look into getting one. I will likely spray myself a time or two, but that will wake me up. Thanks for the recommendation.

Just read reviews if you get a chance, and I’m sure you’ll pick a good one if you decide to buy one. My dad’s dentist said he could tell a world of difference after he had been using one. I’m just desperate to keep my dental health as perfect as can be because I don’t have dental insurance, and you know how crazy those bills can be.

@AmbiePam I opt out of the dental insurance that my employer offers, I have such a huge fear of the dentist chair that I will pay the price plus look after my teeth and gums better. At least here, there is a school of dentistry at the university, and people will go there for dental work as it is at a good savings.

Do they really work as a regular floss?

I can’t speak to every brand as there are knock off cheapies everywhere, but if you use a decent water flosser correctly, they work better than regular floss for most.

We had a waterpik decades ago. We never used it. I always floss my teeth carefully every day.

I have a bridge I can’t get floss through or under, so it helps to have a waterpik in that situation. I’m afraid to get cavities because I just can’t financially afford it.

I have one but haven't used it lately. I usually use it after eating popcorn, which gets stuck under my fixed bridge.

When I was a kid, for a period of time, we had an electric toothbrush. But I have never used that kind since then.

I believe that I used to have a waterpik in my former home a long time ago before I decided to stay with a manual toothbrush.

That's a good idea if they do work, and such. Never had good teeth, so never thought of getting something like that. I still won't since I would never use it tbh lol. But if you like them and they work good then that is a good thing.

I don't have one. I'm glad that it is working out so well for you. My youngest daughter has one, she loves it.
