Busy Friday

I was in charge today. Kasey went to a gala in Boston last night so I was responsible for drop offs and pick ups. I started yesterday afternoon picking up Jack after track practice at 3:45 and then at 7pm I picked up Chris from work.
This morning I had an 8:30 dentist appointment. I am changing dentists and this was my initial visit and complete Xrays. I like my new dentist very much.
Then at 12:45 pm I dropped Chris off at work and at 2:30 Brandon had a physical therapy appointment.
When he was done we went to Trader Joes. Great visit as always. I bought a French flatbread pizza with brie and tomatoes. I had it for supper.
I always get a lot for my money there, I spent $39 and got two flat bread pizzas, celery, a 2 pound bag of mandarins, crackers, two frozen bags of delicious pasta, two frozen crocks of their delicious onion soup and scalloped potatoes.
Brandon though he spent $80 and it was $41, he was amazed. We enjoyed our shopping and he agreed we should not be allowed to shop together because we egg each other on lol.
Not much else going on. Still enjoying my meals from Cookunity, this week I had San Francisco Garlic noodles with shrimp, two yogurt parfaits, the blueberry ricotta pancakes, two salads, orecchette with Italian sausage and broccoli rabe and Martini style chicken which was to die for. I'm getting really spoiled.
Not much else going on. I hope everyone has had a great week and look forward to a relaxing weekend.

I love trader Joe's, their prices always amaze me. My flat bread pizzas are $4.49 how can you go wrong?

Trader Joes is amazing, isn't it! I wish ours was closer to where I live, it happens to be on the other side of town, but I do manage to get by there every once in a while. Their prices are certainly much better than Publix.

Oh way better, Publix is very high except when they have sales. But their (trader Joes) frozen case is my downfall, I need to buy a freezer just for their stuff. I love the Cacio e pepe, so good .

@moffittjc She is 2 years ahead of me in the grieving so it helps me to know what is coming. She is doing well, works way too hard but Jack her youngest son is such a joy,. He is 13 now and totally a sports kid but has been on the honor roll all three semesters so far in junior high. She has been concentrating on making her home everything she has ever wanted and she redid my bathroom here and turned her linen closet in the bathroom into a stackable laundry for me. she's a good girl lol I hated going down to the cellar for laundry. Her oldest son Alex is getting married in June, then who knows grandkids soon lol. How are your kids doing?

@BelleStarr I pretty much only buy stuff from Publix that is on sale, especially their BOGO deals. And I know what you mean about Trader Joe's frozen section. Everything there is amazing.
How's Kasey doing? You always spoke so fondly of her!

@BelleStarr All I know is when I shop at TJ's my money doesn't go very far. I will say to myself I will set a 40 dollar limit, and 45 dollars later, I have a few things and not often what I went in there for. I mean I like the store, but I think it's pricey.

That is a good amount of items for $39. I have never been to Trader Joe's although we have one. I have seen some interesting dinners on the Cookunity website I'd love to try.

I have loved most of the meals I have gotten and liked all of them, nothing that we would say was poor, sometimes it is just not what you expect. I always leave Trader Joes feeling like I got a lot for my money.

Yes, they are delivered fresh once a week. I usually get 3 or 4 main meals, a couple salads and my 2 yogurts and pancakes. They take 3 minutes in the microwave or some are better warmed in the oven. It's restaurant quality but less expensive and no tip lol.

They are sort of like Whole Foods but not where near as expensive. If you ever get the chance, visit , I'm pretty sure you will find a lot to tempt you.

lol That's Remi and Roscoe who are always chilling somewhere nearby. SO far the weekend has been pretty quiet, I slept in late this morning and it was a real treat.

Hot dang, you got my mouth watering except I don't have any of those goodies and I doubt I'd find it here, most everything outside of Ft Bliss is based on Mexican or Italian foods .... oh yeah, there is a Red Lobster here but I've never really liked their foods all that much.

You did really well with your grocery shopping. 
Pretty and I worked out in the yard yesterday and today. We didn't get everything done but we did make a dent in the yard work.
