Yesterday I was missing in action because I participated in the event at the Old Town Market in Tylertown, MS.
I was first of all happy that my booth had been moved from the outside to the inside! The coordinator forgot to put me down on the list of vendors for April and when I asked where my booth space was, she said I wasn't on the list and had to take outdoor space. That is risky with rain or shine and a pain to up a tent up for coverage, so I just waited for a cancellation and got lucky!
We had a lot of vendors and I was placed in between a lady that had Easter baskets made up and another lady that did in-home baking and had cakes, cupcakes and other goodies. I managed to not cave in and saved those calories for later. Ha!
The weather was beautiful yesterday, blue skies, and nice temperature. However, the crowd at the Market was on the slow side. I imagine that families were out enjoying the weather doing fun stuff vs. shopping. This was the 1st nice weekend without extreme weather and tornadoes in 6 weeks!!
I made a couple of sales and new customers, so all is well. I turned my alarm off in my sleep, so I was a little bit late in setting up. With the slow day, it didn't matter!
Did you do anything fun on Saturday?

Glad you have an inside booth. Protection from the rain and the lovely southern H&H (heat and humidity) that’s sure to come.
I went to West Point, KY to survey the flooding. I’ll discuss that later (I was busy watching The Ten Commandments last night, which they actually showed for Passover instead of Easter this year!).

I stayed in bed and nursed my allergies. I'm glad you had fun yesterday.
Today will be hot and sunny with strong winds blowing all day.

@DaddyEvil I don't blame you and hope that you stayed indoors!
I've had allergies and sinus problems since I was 12 and never had the runny nose to go with it--even after sneezing fits. It seems to be hanging on though, no matter what I take.

@kareng It can be either way with me. Either a runny nose or clogged up. Then I put on my CPAP mask and can breathe again for a while.
The air quality is poor again for my area. I don't really want to step out into that and be sick-ish again another night and day.

I worked on my beneficiaries and the list of what to do and who to contact if I should pass away.

@kareng The list isn't done; and I still need to get the beneficiaries recorded for the bank accounts. I can't do that until around July. My husband's name has to be off the account before I can designate beneficiaries.

@kareng I have to wait a few months to make sure I don't get anymore checks in his name.

I hung out at home, after I went out to buy Bruno some canned food. Glad you got moved to an inside spot.

After so many weekends of nasty weather, I'm sure people were taking full advantage of such a nice day to get outdoors and do fun stuff.
We had a beautiful day yesterday as well, and there was a big spring arts festival that we went to. It was sparsely attended as well, and I chalked it up to the fact that UF was hosting their spring football scrimmage game at the same time, and also because the weather was so nice that people got outside and did outdoorsy/nature stuff.

Yep, and that is why I am cancelling next Saturday's event and going to the kids' for Easter! Besides they are boiling crawfish, so that tipped the decision right there. I actually didn't remember that it was Easter weekend coming up. But didn't take me long to decide on that one.

It sounds like you had quite the adventure at the event! I'm glad to hear you got moved inside—being in a stable environment must have made a big difference. It’s always tricky balancing the weather with outdoor events. Despite the slow crowd, it’s great that you made some sales and connected with new customers! Getting back to normal spring weather must feel good after those tough weeks. On Saturday, I had not a relaxing day since I had some Preply classes plus my doctoral studies assignment had to be dealt with. What did you end up doing later with your saved calories?
