Yesterday's shopping trip to the big Tesco.

I went to the big Tesco again yesterday. My Mum wanted me to get a basket of plants like we got for the lady who wss 100 the other week, for another of her friends, Dawn, who has been ferrying her back and forth to the Doctors and paying for the parking. She refuses to take any money for the parking, so my Mum wanted me to get one of those baskets of flowers as a thank you. Unfortunately, when I got there, they didn't have any of the baskets left. I had to get an ordinary plant instead. But there was only one of those left, and it was an orange plant. So I had to get that. It was either that or a massive orchid! I also got some flowers for us. At first I didn't think I was going to be able to get our usual flowers, so I was going to get some small roses. But then I noticed some of our usual flowers so I swapped the roses for those. I was a bit disappointed actually because I had taken a liking to these burgundy roses! I got a Leisure Painter and the Artist magazine and a craft box magazine, and then I went and got 3 packets of seaweed thins and 2 bottles of water. I went to get Syd some vitamin D tablets and I got myself some MenoHerb. Then I went and got my Mum some pads. After that I went to the fruit and veg section, and I got some parsley, spring onions, blueberries, a red pepper and some rocket lettuce for me and some green grapes, little gem lettuce and mini tomatoes for my Mum. Then in the second isle I got a grapefruit and some Brazil nuts for me and some bananas and walnuts for me. Then I went and got 1 bottle of milk for Mum and my vegan yoghurts. I got my Mum and Syd some corner yoghurts for their puddings on Sunday. Then I went to the cheese isle and got some grated cheese and some mini pork pies. Next I went to the vegan and ready meals isle. I got my Mum some beef dinners for Sunday and a toad in the hole. I got myself a vegan pizza, some meat free bites, some tofu and some stuffed vine leaves that I thought I'd try. After that I went and got some brown and wild rice. Then it was straight to the cakes section where I got my Mum and Syd some chocolate eclairs for their supper and some Viennese Whirls. Then I went and got some crisps and pringles. Then I went to the teas and coffees isle, and I got a small packet of mixed nuts and raisins because the big packets were out of stock. Then I got myself some Matcha green tea T-bags and some camomile T-bags. Then I got some wagon wheels for Syd. Next I went to the vegan section. I got some Quorn pieces for me, then I went to get my vegan magnum ice lollies. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. So I thought I'd get an ordinary dairy one, just this once. I had one last night, and I didn't like it much. I've obviously been de-conditioned to not liking dairy ice cream because of the amount of time I've been eating plant based. So I won't be doing that again! I will finish off the ones that I've got though. Then I went round to the second frozen isle and got some chicken pies for my Mum, 4 battered cod and 2 of the posher battered fish. Then I got some mini frozen pizzas for my Mum and Syd. I treated myself to an Amazon gift card and then I went to pay. I saw a bag with a beautiful picture of a red panda on It, and I couldn't resist it, so I got that. It was only £1.75. I put £20 on my Amazon gift card. It came to just over £180! That was after the club card had been applied. After I'd payed, I went and sat on a bench for a bit, as it was still only 4:00pm, and read some of my art magazine. At about 4:25pm I went back down on the lift. I waited on a bench in the undercover car park for a few minutes until Syd came to pick me up. Then I kept the plant in the back of the car with me to keep it safe while the rest of the groceries went in the boot. When I got home I showed my Mum the plant and explained it was the only thing I could get, but she was very pleased with it and we found out it was only £1.75! (I hadn't even thought to look at the price before!) Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I had my dinner and watched some telly. What have you lot been getting up to? I hope you are all well. Have a great night. Nos da.

You would have been a bit relieved that your Mum liked the plant you got. And what a steal at that price!

Sounds like a pleasant time. Nice that you were able to find everything. I have been having trouble finding certain things sometimes.

@sharonelton I’m getting fed up with supermarkets - all so samey. I went to a garden centre and I could have spent thousands on plants etc but I restrained myself and got a whole clatter of geraniums. I love geraniums. I’m also getting fed up with food. Don’t know what’s going on.
