Why would you have to say new and improved on your product to begin with. Was it bad to begin with. Or did it quit selling so you had to improve it.
How about when something on your computer is updated. If it works the way it is suppose to . And it works perfect like it is. Than why would you need to update it.
Than after the update on your computer you have to figure out how it works.. If it works good the way it is. Than leave it alone.

I can relate to what you are going through since my computer received an update this afternoon and it is like nothing really happened except faster speeds on the screen downloading pages.

Lol
New and improved
That's a thought actually.
If something I was buying for years suddenly became new and improved and the price rocketed I would say it was a marketing policy
I gave up Windows because of all the updates .they took ages and I got frustrated

Some things get more and/or new features. Like makeup could now be long wearing, or new formula for shine-free finish, shade adjusts to your skin tone, etc. Food: Healthier: Taken out some things not needed like reducing the sodium, artificial ingredients, additives or colorings.
I agree, not necessary on some things but some are improvements and a better product.

I agree, hate marketing gimmicks unless they funny. This guy that tried to start a whole city in middle of California desert was good. He said true things while kind of over selling it. He would say 100 mile mainstreet to get to the all night cafe. It was in the middle of nowhere and lasted like 90 years until California started to become more corporate and made more expressways and people forgot about the 100 mile mainstreet.

Yeah both words placed together sound ironic.

Sometimes "New and improved" is nothing but a sales gimmick.

My friend here who knows computers had told me if they ask on the computer to update something I can leave it as it is and nothing bad will happen. Unless of course I want to update.

I hate it when I pick up a pack of something when shopping and I see ' new and improved ' on the packaging. M y first thought is ....oh dear, am I still going to like this.
If I bought it before it is because I liked it before .....9 times out of 10 when they say new and improved is usually isn't.
Like you say, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Some times they will change the name of the product and that sells the product to.
