Eye Doctor or Dentist?

Which one do you dread visiting the most. Some people are squeamish about having people touch near their eyes, while some can't stand having someone working in their mouth. For me, I don't like going to the dentist because they are always trying to have a conversation when their hands are in my mouth lol...annoying.

I hate going to the dentist! I don't mind the eye doctor, but the dentist is torture. Whenever I have to go to the dentist, I get really nervous and because of that I always feel pain, no matter what kind of anesthesic he uses. I also start sweating and seeing me nervous makes the dentist nervous, so both of us end in a bad mood.

I hate dentists!!!! I just recently got my first cavitity about a year ago. Still I hate the fact of someone's latex covered fingers in my mouth and all the "sucky tools" and all that.

I don't have eye problems, so I'd have to go with the dentist. I did go to the eye doctor once, had to get that glaucoma test done. They touch your eyeball with some thing to test the pressure. Didn't hurt, but I couldn't do it lol. Had to pry my eye open for it. Dentist though, I hate when they're checking for cavities with that hook thing, and they hit a nerve or cavity, and the pain...I went to one dentist once, he said it was a small cavity, so didn't need novacaine. I trusted him lol. He got down a bit to far, I about went through the ceiling. He says, oh almost done, I'm like screw you you're done lol. That hurt...

I hate going to the dentist, I just hate them poking around my teeth and gums. I get so worked up going to the dentist that I haven't been there in more then 3 years, but I am going next month because i have to take my son for the first time, and i need to show him that there is nothing to worry about.

I hate going to the dentsist the most. Of course, the last time I went to the eye doctor my son was only one or two months old a cryed while the doctor looked at my eyes. That wasn't fun.

I like going to both of them, it's kinda fun hehe. But I guess I would have to say the eye doctor. Because last time I was there, she did the eye pressure test and it was abnormal. So she did it again, and still wasn't right. So she then had to do a scan of my eyeball to check to see if I had anything. I'm an hypchondriac, so you know I was thinking the worst lol. But turns out my eyes were fine, she said the machine will do that sometimes. So that was a relief. It was pretty cool to see the 3D image of my eye balls though. You could see the nerves and all that, was interesting. So yeah, I'll say the eye doctor. :)

Eye dr. is a piece of cake for me, I don't mind going at all. Dentist... well, that's something different. Novacaine, x-rays, drilling, mouth full of saliva and bad-tasting chemicals, suction, etc... not fun at all.

I don't really like either one. I guess the dentist. I can go very 6 months to get my teeth cleaned and it always takes forever. At least the eye doctor is usually less than 20 minutes.

Going to see the eye doctor has never bothered me. Now, going to the dentist that is another story lol. I used to really hate going, especially from the needles they had to use to numb the area (I am terrified of the needles.) I guess as I grew up, the fear of the dentist has faded. I still don't like needles when they have to use them, but I truly don't mind going to see the dentist when I need to.

I'm always worried about going to both! lol. A few years ago I had some sort of nasty eye ailment because my contacts irritated my eyes/eye lids. I had to take a steroid drop and couldn't wear my contacts anymore. When I pick out glasses I worry that I'll look like a big dork. haha. I don't like going to the dentist because I KNOW I need a little work done. And, like you said, they try to hold a conversation while their hands are in your mouth. (and I'd hate to think of where those hands were last Saturday) lol.

For me, I despise going to the dentist. I have had several bad experiences, and I would rather not deal with them.
