With the advent of a fast paced life, dining out or calling for take out is becoming a trend. With multiple jobs and other responsibilities in life, cooking is becoming tough.
Health wise, though, I still prefer home cook meals because I have control of which ingredients to use.
How about you? Which one do you prefer? Which one do you usually do?
Sometimes we are compel to do things but prefer another.

I un categorically prefer to cook AND eat meals made from scratch. I cook dinner for my husband about 26 days a month when he is in town. Everything that I prepare is fresh and/or organic, including bread. (Actually he is "off" of bread right now.)I believe that many foods, depending on how they are prepared can contribute to a plethora of health problems.

The best thing to do is to cook very simple, yet healthy meals. Broil some fish or chicken, microwave some potatoes and vegetables. That kind of thing. You don't have to cook anything fancy but just throw a few things in the oven and voila. Too much take out is not only too expensive but you dont know whats in it. Some cook all of their meals on the weekend and freeze it. However that is not how I want to spend my weekend! One has to enjoy him or herself at some time!!

I still prefer the home cook meals. I notice you are from the Philippines and yes i came from the same place as well. Im in the uk right now and i really do a lot of cooking here because everything is very expensive. I still prefer the taste of our food and my hubby loves it very much as well.

It depends of the situation..if i have who to go out and have dinner i go to a nice restaurant, order something easy,no pork meet no bred no fat meet and no dessert. If i want to watch tv or someone comes to dinner to my house than i will make something at home.I know how to cook and i could make anything.

I absolutely agree with you. When I'm eating something prepared by myself or my mother I know exactly, what I'm eating. My friend is also a good cook, and he enjoys it. I'm also quite selective eater. Unfortunately I have to admit, all the times, I was dining out, I have never tasted something I could call delicious. OK, good, eatable, but never delicious...

i still prefer home cooked meal. i love it's taste. i can cook it the way i want it to taste. cheaper and lesser preservatives.
even when i was working in the pharmacy, i bring lunch or dinner at work so i don't need to buy meals at fast food places.
however, i still visit fast food areas often. especially when meeting friends over for a snack in a mall. it's nice somehow.

I prefer to eat at home as opposed to dining out because of money issues and I don't like people watching me eat.lol. We do order out once in awhile when we get real busy, too busy to make dinner. My boyfriend is an excellent cook and he always knows how to make things taste good.

Home cooked meals are much more healthy. The key is planning ahead. Make a menu for the week, look at the menu items for the next day each night before you go to sleep and lay out what needs to be fixed. This will help with prep time when you get home from work the next day. Half the battle is knowing what you are going to cook.

I really like home cooked meals compared to take outs (most especially fast food meals). Although there are really times when you don't have too much time to spare for cooking. The quality of food really is very important when eating as well as when choosing the food we buy. I am more for cooking!

I love home cooked meals.. they are so yummy (most of the time).. Its alot cheaper aswell, instead of paying $20 per meal per person.. But some nights, i just dont feel like cooking so take out is always a great option..
