if you did, explain where, who and how. did you go to a press conference, book-signing, music in-store, etc, or just meet them by accident on the street? any funny anecdotes to go with that? like if you or they said something funny or interesting?

My best 'famous' person story is when I bet Bill Mummy. For those who don't know, Bill Mummy was on the original Lost in Space, and played Lennier on the award winning series Babylon 5. There was a big yearly B5 convention in Boston that I'd go to every year. He was one of the guests one year, and I went to get an autograph. I was dressed as Lyta, which meant I was in black leather pants and a black leather low cut tank top. I got up to the table and asked for an autograph, and we chatted for a bit, and then I asked if I could get a picture. Bill Mummy grins and says 'sure! Come on behind the table!'. I go behind the table - I'd had pictures taken with a ton of cast members before and this was all normal. usually they'd hug me or put an arm around me. Claudia Christian kissed me, which was awesome! Anyway, I get behind the table and he's sitting on a chair. Instead of getting up, he pats his lap and says 'how about it?'. So I sat on his lap and he put his arms around me and made a funny little joke about that picture would seal his divorce. He kissed my cheek and told me I was a sweetheart. I've still got that picture, somewhere.

It was a really awesome day. Bill Mummy is great! Sadly, I don't have the pic of Claudia Christian on the computer. :( I need to get someone with a scanner to scan my collection of actor photos! But that made my year, seriously. I admitted that I had a huge crush on her and she grinned and said that was great and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

Haven't really met them, saw them while I was working. I'm not the type to go up and say hey, autograph please. I just kinda smile at them and leave it at that. Used to work at an airport, saw Ted Nugent, Larry Bird, a Chicago news/sportscaster, guy who played Newman on Seinfeld, couple of big wig politicians that I didn't really care about especially during election years lol, few others can't remember at the moment. I know some of the guys I worked with saw Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone, Shania Twain, etc.

nice!! you have the same kind of response to these 'famous people' as i usually do. i don't tend to say much to them. an acknowledging smile, nod or 'hi' is usually it. a couple of times, i was standing right next to a star and said absolutely nothing just coz i didn't know what to say. sometimes 'hi i'm a huge fan' is just innappropriate! when i saw miki berenyi from lush (she was the one i stood next to and said nothing), we were both watching a concert, she looked really into it, so i was not about to scream over the music, 'excuse me, i love you!' LOL

LOL Yeah, I figure these people get that all the time, must be so annoying to them. I remember watching Larry Bird walk through the screening point at the airport, I just sat there, and all the TSA screeners were going oh my gosh oh my gosh, can I have your autograph? The guys with his whole family, trying to fly out, and they were all drawing attention to him, and all the other people around started coming over to him. I couldn't imagine living like that, must be a real pain!!

you just reminded me of when i met samuel l. jackson. i used to work in a film production house, so there were departments like, animation, voiceovers, film processing etc. i was in the kitchen having coffee with some colleagues, and as my friend standing in front of me came by to serve me a cup, he just sort of froze, looked way up behind me and the coffee went to someone else (samuel l. lol). it was pretty funny, but all of us kept our cool. at first mr. jackson went quite unnoticed, even though he's rather tall, because it was the first time he'd shaved his head after doing movie roles with hair, so we were thrown off at first :)

Browning Version - movie
Hi Yes I was lucky enough to be involved in a movie!! Filmed by Paramount studios!! I was only an "Exra" but you asked if they were any funny stories behind it.... One of the Star's in the Film was Alber Finney, and towards the end of making of the movie I asked him for his Autograph.... He Produced a copy of the Script for that days filming, and wrote on it ........ "So very pleased to act in your movie Geoff" The reason why he put this.... All during the filming of the movie, I was determined that I "would be seen" and so where ever the camera's where, so was I!! I even managed to get behind one of them whilst they were filming!! It was excellent. Another one of the Stars was Greta Scacchi, and in one scene we were supposed to be walking out of the door of a very old school.... in fact it was not a church, it was a VERY OLD church, and they "Pretended" it was the school. We had to hide our selves behind the "buttresses" of the church and then all just walk out, as though it was a door. The Director of the movie said that they could see the skirts of Gret Sacchi, and could "she hide a wee bit more" I was behind her, and I put my arms around her, and pulled her close to me!! She looked up and smiled, and didnt say a word.... I had some very good fun on this movie!!! The cast of the movie:- Actor Role Albert Finney .... Andrew Crocker-Harris Greta Scacchi .... Laura Crocker-Harris Matthew Modine .... Frank Hunter Julian Sands .... Tom Gilbert Michael Gambon .... Dr. Frobisher Ben Silverstone .... Taplow Jim Sturgess .... Bryant (as James Sturgess) Joe Beattie .... Wilson Mark Bolton .... Grantham Tom Havelock .... Laughton By the way, in the scene below "I am just in it"

wow, thanks for sharing that! sounds like you had a lot of fun! by the way, you didn't mention the title of the movie (or am i THAT blind?!)...or is it yet to be released and therefore you don't know or aren't allowed to say?

Sorry it is underneath the picture!! It is called "The Browning Version" It was the British entry at the Golden Rose Of Montreax You CAN get it on video, not sure about DVD, if you ever watch it, nearly right at the end, after they have played the game of cricket, and they are clapping the team into the pavillion, the camera's are on a boom, this particular day, I took a girl friend of mine along to watch the filming!! We are RIGHT IN FRONT of the camera, and if you look close, I bend down to her ear and whisper "If we are not in this movie now, my dear, we never will be" !!!!!!

hi shireishou's li'l sis :) thanks for joining us in this discussion :) haha i don't think you are stupid for only liking one band...i am the same way!!! a long time ago, i always met my favorite band sloan (they are from eastern canada, and kind of getting to be old men now lol), and even my parents told me and my sister 'you girls are CRAZY...how many times do you need to watch their concerts!?!?!' but they were also really friendly people, and always remembered us even when there were a huge amount of people hanging around waiting to meet them. and now i don't care meeting other bands, just globe is what interests me. even though people may think i'm stupid i only like globe, if i could meet them probably i would not say anything, especially since i would have to translate what i want to say into japanese very quickly before they would walk away from me! my japanese is so limited, it wouldn't even be fun!
