The recent poll result in USA gave answer of your discussion. Bush tryed to win emphasising importance of Iraq war, USA wise voters gave its answer for which President Bush has been defeated in the Poll. I think now is the time for lifting USA solder from Iraq as there was no serious weapon found in Iraq but on the plea of those weapon USA with other countries started war in Iraq. A person having a common scense now understand that only oil and to show power and to help opposition of Saddam Iraq was started resulting loss of huge lives of Solders of different country.

I am assuming you are an American. You shouldn't have invaded Iraq in the first place. You are there because your Mr Bush wanted more oil and gas so as to line his pockets. You are aiding "Dumbya" in his greed for world domination. My advice is, get out of there now!

That would be too obvious. Of course the idea behind the "elections" will have to be engineered to ensure the people in power are pro-America. Then Bush could have got his way. But unfortunately, things haven't quite gone as scripted for Mr Bush have they? As for oil, the results should really be felt when the country settles down and I'm talking long term here, not immediate gains. You may wish to read the book "Hegemony or Survival" by Noam Chomsky for a clearer picture of the invasion.

Funny. If we're there for the Oil, then why are we trying to hand the government and the country back over to it's own people. Wouldn't it have been simpler to simply appoint a general to be dictator?

I think we should stay. The first time we were in Iraq we left and looked what happened. I hate to see our soliders, marines, and airmen being killed, but when they signed on the dotted line, they understood that there is a chance they were going to be sent to war.

long story short... Iraq is a lost cause. Our troops need to come home and defend our country and stop trying so hard to save another country who clearly doesnt give a damn about themselves. I mean why defend themseleves when america will do it for them. I have a fiance in Iraq who also believes its time to come home.

Now that the troops are there I believe they should stay until the Iraqi Government agrees that it is time for them to leave. That time should be when the their own troops are trained properly.
Sadly, I think that no matter what happens there will be an ongoing "civil war" in Iraq and many lives will continue to be lost, and this will be the case whether foreign troops are there or not.
