I love to sew quilts. I made one for my in-laws for christmas one year and caught the bug. I have sewn two for profit and I have two more orders for quilts. When I'm done these two I plan to look for a more advanced pattern and actually make a quilt for myself for once. lol

I like to sew curtain because I can match few layer of fabrics and patterns. I do not own sewing machine yet so I have to go to my mom place to sew. Beside curtain, I also sew pillow case and bed sheet for my sisters. I had sewed few set of crib bedding for my baby last 2 years. It was fun and I’m so proud of the result.

I want to quilt, just haven't done much yet.
I want to start with the log cabin because it looks easier.
I have a few pieces cut out.
I really should start soon if I want to make potholders for Christmas I suppose... LOL

I mainly sew my own clothes, particularly fancy clothes. Dresses, skirts, nice shirts stuff that usually costs a fortune in a clothing store. I have also sewn a zoot suit for my brother's prom, and the bridesmaids dresses for my sister's wedding. It helps to keep things at a reasonable price for people who can't afford the top of the line clothing.

i have never sewn (using sewing machine) before in my life, but my husband bought me a sewing machine for this coming christmas even if i dont know how to use it..he said i will be able to learn using it :) he gave me one of his torn pants and made me sew it, thankfully he said i did a good job :)although it took me hours and hours to put the thread on and everything plus the torn part of the pants is just like 12 inches straight line :) i would like to learn how to quilt just dont know where and how to start.

It just takes lots of practice. The more you do it the easier it will become. If you want to do a quilt start with a simple pattern. Pick one that only requires straight lines. By the time you finish I'm betting you can probably thread that machine in your sleep. Good luck and don't give up.

I make costume for historical re-enactment mostly. I like my kit to be as accurate as I can possibly make it given what we do and don't know about any given historical period, and the only way for me to afford kit that meets my personal standards is to make it myself. I also embroider for fun, and knit, but as for plain sewing its usually clothing.
