Every year my husband and I buy each other a new pair of pajamas for Christmas. We have done this since the first year we are together and it is just kind of our thing. If we have guests staying with us on Christmas eve we buy Christmas jammies for them as well.

Sorry you haven't received mor responses to this discussion. The one Christmas tradition I love is packing up all my presents and loading up the car and travelling to my parents and spending a great christmas with my mum and dad, just the three of us. It's quiet, relaxed, we play card games, drink and have mum's grand Christmas roast with all the trimmings, she does us proud and works real hard to make our little family Christmas extra special.

Of course, i will never give up the Christmas tree, that is a symbol in every country where exists the Christian religion. Another tradition that i don't want to kill is the dinner that we eat in family ... This is my answer ...

I realize this is an older post, but I just have to answer! My favorite Christmas tradition is going to the local hospital for their live nativity. They bring in live animals such as donkeys, camels and have real people and and infant. A high school band ensamble plays quiet, reverend Christmas music. It is really meaningful for me. I try to take myself back to the original and imagine what it must have been like. It really helps to keep me focused on the real meaning of Christmas.
