First thing, wait until you have several replies before you rate a best response on MyLot. As far as Ebay, you need to set up an account and also set up a PayPal account. PayPal is also the way you get paid by MyLot. Check other items that are similar to yours and see what kinds of bids they are getting. Choose a simple, inexpensive first item to sell so that you can familarize yourself with Ebay. The item description and picture(s) are crucial if you want quality bids. I could write a book on buying and selling on Ebay and I obviously can't do that here. There are many things to learn and trial and error is a good way. If you need further information then send me a message and I'll help all I can.

Ebay is a brilliant way to get rid of your unwanted stuff.
I have sold many things and made quite abit of money.
The best items to sell are nearly new clothes, womens and childrens, more than mens does better.
You do however have the pain of posting the items which can become a drag. I have stopped for a while because of this. I do though use ebay alot for buying things and this is a good way to save money, but always check the amount people put down for P&P they can rip you off sometimes.

Yeah I sell quite a lot on ebay aswell, you don't really need a digital camera if you've got smaller Items you could just use a scanner or picture phone.

I have been doing it for two years now and can honestly say it is the easiest way to make decent money on the internet. I sell mainly used clothes, toiletries and jewellry. Always sell items that are of litte value as they are more likely to sell and cost less to list - You have to pay a nominal fee to list each item but that only gets paid after the items have finished their auction time. The more items you can list the more money you can make. Always have a low starting price as it encourages more bids. You dont need the bike as ebay guides you through every step of the way. When I started I had very little computer knowledge but it really is that easy to use I had made money in the first week of using it. The money I earnt last year paid for a new wardrobe and a holiday. Take the plunge. Buy a camera and try it. You have nothing to lose and money to be made.

There are lots of ways to 'make it' on ebay. The first thing you want to do is open up all the required accounts. That has been covered already in this discussion which accounts these are. Then just start snapping away and list any unwanted household stuff and really learn the ropes. If you then want to start making a business on ebay then this is so easy in principal but in practice much harder. You can open a shop for very little money on there and you need to find good reliable suppliers and then you are on your merry way. Good luck with it all.

A tip to remember when selling, try not to under-estimate your postage prices. The P & P should include postage, and the cost of your packaging, something a lot of buyer tend to forget. Jiffy bags and padded envelopes can sometimes cost more than the price of the item being sold.

Hi, my partner and I started buying to sell on ebay last October, and it is scary when you start out! The best advice I can give you is to research thoroughly before you begin. Keep complete records of everything you do as you will need these for tax purposes.
The other thing that is worthwhile is to do some research into all the sources of stock you can find - wholesalers and such. I put months of research into this, but it paid off as we now have four or five suppliers that we use.
Needless to say, the best suppliers are the hardest ones to find, but don't give up - they are out there, I promise! Before you buy anything, you should go onto ebay and search the completed listings to see if the products you want to buy sell well.
That's what we did to start with, and it's the best way to begin. Once you have some cashflow, you can take a chance on a product or two that might not be on ebay yet.
Good luck - and don't give up, the journey is worth the hard work!
