I have a cat that suffers from allergies. He is always congested. It started right after we got the bunny rabbit and was far worse when he liked to sleep on top of the bunny's cage so we think he's allergic to the fur. He's very loving though and seems to manage with them all right. Now and then he gets really bad and we have to give him medication for it but otherwise he does everything the other cats do.
Below is a picture of him with his brother Pumpkin. He is the white one with the black spots.

Thanks. They can be mischievious at times but over all pretty good. Of course right now I have three cats sitting around me, including one on the monitor and one on each desk corner.
Yeah when he gets really bad we were told by the vet to pick up nose drops for him. He hates getting them but they do help. That and believe it or not a bit of vicks vapor rub right under his nose. That seems to really help but again he hates me for doing it at least for a few minutes and then he wants love again.

He has learned to stay away from the rabbit for the most part. He's pretty much the same all the time now. Except for congestion he does very well. It doesn't seem to slow him down or anything. We keep a good eye on him just in case though. As you pointed out things can change very quickly with allergies. Of course we've nicknamed him Snuffy and now he answers to it more then his normal name.

That is very sad, and I am so sorry for her. She is so lucky to have such a loving mommy take such good care of her.
At the moment, my two furry babies seem to be healthy. I hope they stay well.

Thank you dear. I make sure their shots are up to date, they have quality food, groom them daily, and give lots and lots of love and affection to them. If you lay your hands on your doggie, you can pray for a healing. God loves all his creatures that He has made. We pray in faith, and then we hope for a response. But like I said before, your little one is blessed to have you for it's mommy.

my yorkie has a liver condition. he takes liver supplements everyday but he's getting much better now. he also has a terrible case of separation anxiety. although most times it's really cute. when he sees me dressed up with my bag ready to go out, he always thinks he's going with us. he's at the door waiting and asking to be carried.

During the summer I have to keep an eye on my Akita because he is prone to ear infections.

Our cat Dak is 17 years old. He had a tumor removed along with his eye last year. Hubby started calling him one-eyed-Dak! Now, a couple of tiny tumors are showing up again! It is hard getting old...for pets and for people!

Well, poor dog. I'm hugging you now, doggy... sweet doggy. I have a suggestion to make. Maybe the food she takes may have some problems on her. For example chocolates are not good for dog. You can check out whether she had taken any chocolate lately.

No, our kittys are healthy so far, but we just lost our dog to cancer a few months ago. It was rough on us. He was so sick and we could do nothing to help him.

My older lab has allergies to chicken. He also had a stroke about 3 years ago, and it paralized half of his face. It made him blind in his eye, and cant hear out of the ear on that same side. my other animals are perfectly fine and healthy.

I am so sorry to hear about her seizures! I know how distressing it is to watch helplessly as our pets suffer!
One of my cats, Angel, a lovely white girl with one blue and one gold eye, has pancreatitis of all things! I learned about this when she seemed to be having trouble swallowing, she was vomiting so hard she was literally falling over to one side when done, and her tongue was almost purple! Pancreatitis can't be cured, but it is under control - I had to buy her the lowest crude=fat content dry cat food -- it seems to help.
Then, another of my cats, Mr. Bump, has, believe it or not, squamos (sp?) cell carcinoma in his left eyelid! Not much I can do except watch and wait. His behavior and appetite are completely healthy. but his eye looks a mess! His eyelid ducts are both closed, so his eye is always draining, and he sniffles a lot.

Pets are our family members. They should be kept under constant vigil of a pet vet.I can understand your sentiment.I feel bad if my pet dog is inflicted with an ailment and lying in a remote corner, which otherwise makes the atmosphere lively.
