Why are we addicted to Star Wars

Why is it that we are addicted to the Star Wars series??? Why?? despite the fact the the series is over do we want there to be more movies.. more stories from the galaxy far,far away???? Why the heck am i planning a 12 hour marathon to see all the 6 star wars movies+clone wars(the animated series) in one... This is a discussion to answer it.. what is it that you find so awsm about the Star Wars saga???

There is something for everyone in these movies. They have romance action comedy all the crazy characters mystery it just always keeps you wanting more.

No easy answer to this, but Lucas designed the movies after Campbell's work on mythology. Myths touch our collective humanity, and the movies tap into that.

I would love it if there were more star wars movies. I heard that originally they were planning on making 9 of them. I wish they would. I'd like to find out what happens to Hans and Lea and their children.
