Does Color Effect Your Mood?

For me, color can have a serious impact on my mood. As I sit here at my computer, looking at all of the snow that has fallen in the last 36 hours, I feel so light hearted. There is something about white, which I suppose isn't really a color at all, that imparts a sense of purity and clarity to my thoughts and emotions. White makes me feel as if all things are possible, that every moment begins as a blank page waiting for a story, an inspiration, a revelation.
As I glance at the Maxfield Parrish print hanging on the wall, a peaceful feeling of contentment rises up in response to the mystical blue sky, shot through with streaks of amethyst and soft pink.
Color does more than affect my mood. It is a catalyst that invites travel through space and time.

Hmm. This is thought provoking. I assume that color does affect my mood but I've never really broken it down like that. My problem is, my environment, as my life, is mixed and scattered with all colors coming at me at once, not especially soothing.
I saw an article today that says Orange can brighten ones mood in snowy climates. And Green always reminds me of life, as does red. I like your interpretation of white and think I'll adopt it.

Ditto! I notice that the color of what I am wearing can also REFLECT my mood...for example, if I am wearing red, watch out...if I'm wearing grey, don't even bother trying to talk to me or get me to do anything because grey means I'm in my own world and not comin out till i'm good and ready

yeah coming to colour it doent effect my mood that much but may effect sometimes red makes me happy and brings me think of my love when ever i see it and colours make life beautifu; and colurs if look attractive i get impressed

I guess that's what it isfor me as well, color brings beauty and to see anything of beautymakes me feel that there is something of the Divine in everything, if only I remember to see it that way.

ahhh I see. But for me color doesn;t effect too much. ^^
I like tpo wear dark colour. But when I don;t have ot or see it, that's fine

What a GREAT point! Yes, for me also weather is a big influence on my mood. My least favourite weather is the wind...it makes me unsettled and irritable...but I love afternoon rain showers

Oh friend, i have never seen snow and wish if i am sitting on my pc and having some beautiful scenes like snowfall or atleast rain....i'll be very very happy...and white color really makes me feel very happy!
