My husband, son and I have been invited to a co-workers house for Christmas Eve dinner. They are making dinner for us and everything. I feel we should bring something?? But what? What should a guest bring?? A plant? Candle? Chocolate? :) You can never go wrong with chocolate for the wife, right ladies?! ;)
Anyway, all suggestions are welcome! :)

I would take a bouquet of flowers and if they have children, I would also bring some sweets for the children. It is always nice to include the children. I hate when people forget mine, as they are the most important people in my life.

I would bring something appropriate to a 2 year old, like a stuffed toy or simple puzzle (you can always tell what might be right by the age markings on kids' toys and games at the store). I would not bring candy for a 2-year old.

As I am Hindu & in our area no more christian families & I am not in touch of any chiristian family so I don't know more, though how about a scenery or portrait (picture) of Yissue, or any perfume, or if in budget any home appliance ,or lamp shade there so many options, once go to market, there you also found some new arrival too.

Generally we will take some flower bouquet along with us to dinner invite. but it is better if you could take some usefull thing for thier family like dinner set, of some gift item which is really useful in day to day life. if the host is having children then it is better to take some toys or some usefull things to children like cricket bat or any kind of the thing.

I read through a few of these things, and I think I like the coffee (or tea) basket. I think for a two year old, rather than a sweet, a small stuffed toy. Flowers or a candle are good, if you know they do not have allergies. Otherwise, a nice potted plant. Have a wonderful time. Merry Christmas.

You might want to bring a dessert of some kind. or you can ask them what they are having and if you could bring anything. Some people like having other people help out with the dinner. If they say no then desset is a good bet.

I have had a few occasions where we were invited to a party or get-together, and no one mentioned what to bring. I always feel it is not right to show up empty handed. So, if you want to take something that just about anyone would like, why not take some cookies? People of all ages and sizes seem to enjoy cookies. Chocolate chip are always a hit, but if you are not sure, make it a variety. You can dress them up on a fancy plate, or put them in some sort of Christmas container. I hope this suggestion will help! Happy Holidays!!

How about a set of drinking glasses. I am referring to the kind you drink your water or juice with at home. They should preferably be distinguished from one another but coordinated in designs and patterns, to enable each family members to identify his/her own glass. I thought of this idea because I need to change ours right now. Been using for too long.

I would ask. If they say don't bring anything then I would probably bring a plate of homemade cookies. Fudge is always a good choice too.

Bring some kind of dessert. If they're making dinner, it's nice for the guest to provide a dessert. Pumpkin pie maybe?
