What happens to dop when they go to the pound? Do they get killed for their fur

I suppose it depends on where you live, what they'll do with them. Here in the US, no, not allowed to use dog or cat fur. Hopefully the dog will get adopted out to a new owner, but sadly that isn't usually the case. Usually they end up putting the dog down/euthanizing it. I can't say for sure what happens to the remains then, but I assume the remains get incinerated/cremated.

In the US if they aren't adopted after a certain amount of time they are euthanized (put down,put to sleep) the disposed of. The body, fur etc aren't used for anything...it's a waste of life and that's why people need to get their animals spayed/neutered.

From what I understand, if nobody adoptes them, they're put to sleep.
