I want to know how this site works? Where do you get goods to sell or are you selling your images here. I logged in last night but could not make out what to sell and how to sell?

I've been a seller at cafe press for almost a year. I've used images I've painted myself and some drawings from my son-in-law. I've also done some Christian sayings I really like. The difficulty is getting people to your site! There are so many members at cafe press! My page is at estherspaint.com

You sell images or the images printed on the products they have there. How to go about it, can you tell me. I am requesting for being your friend, please explain it in some detail.

I just signed up for Cafe Press last night, but haven't set up an inventory, yet. I am a photographer and plan to use it to make things with my photography and artwork on it. I am mostly going to print stuff out for myself and my family, first. The thing that I've already noticed is that many of their items are much higher than the other printer I use called Snapfish. The only difference between the two is that my customers can order directly through Cafe Press while I have to order things from Snapfish, ship it to myself, and ship it out to the clients. I don't really have to ship it to myself first, but I like to check the work. I still have to do all the ordering myself. I also noticed that their agreement says that you have to agree to give them an unlimited license to your work. I think that's fine if they pay me, but I don't like giving anyone unlimited use because I might not want to sell an item with that particular design on it any longer. So, I'll let you know if anything ever happens. I am mostly going to market to other people already interested in my work at first.

I wasn't a very big fan of using CafePress, but Spreadshirt.com is a lot like CafePress and much easier to use [at least I think so]. I could never get my designs to fit properly on the Cafe Press products.

I'm also interested in Cafe Press. I just signed up yesterday and was surprised to see that you can make books on there! Have you or anyone else on here done that? I'd be interested in knowing how the finished product turned out.

Basially you are putting your images on their products and selling them. Explore the site completely. You will get the hang of it and if you don't there are enough of us that will help!

I was thinking of setting up a shop there, in fact I registered but haven't done anything else so far. I'd like to put on some of my drawings and some photographs as well, but from what I've read here, I'm not convinced that I'd be able to make any money from it as I'm not very good at marketing/promoting websites. As this is an old thread, I'm wondering if anyone here has gone for it, and had any success there? Happy myLotting!

How much did you have to invest?
